Creating a warm and inviting ambience within the spacious interior of a bungalow can be a daunting task. Large spaces may risk looking bare and boring without the right color scheme. However, with the help of interior designers SoHo Design Partnership, this Sentosa Cove bungalow maintains its spaciousness while still managing to be an inviting retreat by using a neutral palette.
Changeable chair upholstery makes the formal-looking dining room kid-friendly.
Natural materials like wood, stone as well as granite enhance the home’s green environment. In the basement, a rock sculpture guards the end of the stairwell.
Brown and white colours for spacious interior
In the bungalow's living space, the shades of brown – from the window panes to the one-seater couch and coffee tables – help blend the indoors with the outdoors seamlessly. Alongside these warm brown hues, the designers cleverly used white tones to brighten up the spacious interior, preventing it from feeling overwhelming. Elements of nature like wood and stone further enhance the home's green environment, with a striking rock sculpture guarding the end of the basement stairwell.
In the open-plan attic are a play room and TV room for the kids.
Open-plan attic with natural light
The open-plan attic, utilized as a play area and TV room for the kids, brings in an abundance of natural light, complementing the off-white couches and wooden floors perfectly. This spacious interior creates a sense of airiness and freedom, making it an ideal space for children to thrive.
The elder son’s bedroom opens straight to the garden. It includes a sitting nook and a study area, too.

One of the bedrooms opens straight to the garden, offering a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living. This spacious bedroom includes a cozy sitting nook and a dedicated study area, providing a multifunctional space for relaxation and productivity. A dash of red and orange from the patterned carpets adds warmth to the neutral palette, preventing the spacious interior from feeling too clinical.
Each bedroom has a walk-in closet. The best-dressed closet belongs to the lady of the house.
