This 3-bedroom HDB flat in Telok Blangah showcases bold interior design choices through a fearless mix of colors, prints, and industrial elements. Owned by Clarence Tay and his partner, the over 40-year-old 700 sq ft home underwent a complete overhaul to create an open-concept living and dining space, a spacious bedroom, and a galley kitchen.

Bold interior design choices

One of the boldest interior design statements is the striped accent wall in the living room. Clarence cleverly used the wall treatment to camouflage a protruding structural column, on which a lamp is now mounted. The industrial-style lamp adds to the edgy, urban vibe.
