Within a week of their wedding, this couple had moved into their first home, a 1,001sqf four-room HDB flat in Punggol, which was already ready for occupancy. They had worked for the last five months with interior and furniture designer Kelvin Teo of Space Sense to turn their brand-new flat into a loft-inspired haven.
Kelvin hacked the wall enclosing the kitchen, opening it to the dining space and providing cross-ventilation for these social areas of the home.
Blu Dot cushions complement the Boconcept sofa and faux brick TV bench. Coffee table from Lifestorey; rug from Pomelo Home.
Merging two bedrooms into one, Kelvin was able to enlarge the master bedroom and create a walk-in closet.
A custom-designed bed with a block-wood pattern for the headboard was one of those details that the homeowners were particular about.
The different surfaces and sizes of the home's black-frame design detail add a new dimension to the plain screed walls of the master bathroom.
