This ultra-luxury villa we saw in 2017.

Imagine being able to live in a luxury waterfront villa that's modeled like an ultra-luxurious super yacht, without having to put in the maintenance required of a sailing vessel. That was what the developer of this sleek 3-storey Sentosa Cove waterfront villa requested from Italian firm Mercurio Design Lab when they engaged the studio to develop the site.
Dual Sentosa Cove waterfront villas
The design lab proposed the building of two homes, each shaped like the hull of a modern super yacht.
Yacht-inspired villa design
Situated along one of the picturesque waterways within the exclusive Sentosa Cove residential enclave, the luxury waterfront villa looks like a posh vessel parked by the water.
Slanted and curved exterior walls
One of the most outstanding features of the house is the slanted wall at the back of the home. The curved edges running along the walls accord the structure with a sophisticated Italian flair.
Rooftop waterfront pool
On the rooftop lies a small pool overlooking the fantastic view of the Sentosa Cove waterways.
Orange tiled roof
From the front of the home, the orange tiled roof greets visitors like the awning of a yacht.
Rounded exterior corners
Even the corners around the main door are rounded to keep in line with the design language of the architecture.
Marble entrance runway
A marble runway leads from the entrance, across a water feature, into the main body of the living room.
Luxury waterfront villa interior
Luxe marble flooring and plush curtains set the scene in the Sentosa Cove waterfront villa.
Red colour acccent
The deep red colours of the curtains and rug exude a chic modern atmosphere in the living area.
Roof terrace area
More plush seating can be found on the roof terrace.
Sleek custom furniture
The sleek sharp designs of the shelving in the lounge area makes the space feel like the interiors of a trendy sports car.
Simple colour theme
By keeping the colour theme simple, the design team created a stronger character for the luxury waterfront villa.
Minimal distractions
Essentials are kept to a minimum, allowing the textures of the materials to stand out.
Curated artwork
A well-curated variety of artwork adorn the walls along the corridor.
Bedrooms with waterfront view
The bedrooms in the home all look out into the waterway.
All glass walls
Floor-to-ceiling glass panels providing an obstructed view of the Sentosa Cove waterfront.
Luxury waterfront villa
In the evenings, the yacht house looks like a stylish hangout space.
Bold and contemporary facade
The angled façade looks bold and contemporary.
Stark building design
The rounded curves also make the house look stark and impressive.
Night view of the villa
The colours come alive in the night, giving the Sentosa Cove waterfront villa a look that's totally different from the day.
