In the world of luxury interior design, time is often the most challenging constraint. Yet for design mavens Nikki Hunt and Andrea Savage of Design Intervention, a mere 10-day timeline became an opportunity for creative alchemy. Transforming a 1,650 sq ft 3-bedroom Tanjong Rhu condo into a personalised sanctuary for a young family was not just a project.
Luxurious interior design
The living room emerges as a vibrant canvas of personal expression, where every interior design choice tells a story of the couple’s unique relationship.
A sofa becomes more than mere furniture – it’s a narrative painted in blue and green watercolour-esque strokes that capture homeowner Michelle’s essence, punctuated by bold orange piping that speaks to homeowner Marc’s personality.
Deep green high-back armchairs, meticulously designed with white piping, provide Michelle with her perfect reading nook, combining comfort and style with surgical precision.
Tanjong Rhu Condominium
A stunning view becomes the silent choreographer of the home’s design language. Reflective end tables capture and play with the surrounding landscape, bringing the outside world into intimate conversation with the interior.
The bespoke Lagoon rug becomes a poetic interpretation of the Geylang River’s fluid movement, transforming a floor covering into a piece of living art that connects the space to its urban context.
Dining room drop ceiling
Glamour arrives in unexpected moments. A drop ceiling painted in metallic silver transforms the space, creating a luminous glow that elevates the entire room. The intricate chandelier becomes a focal point, its brilliance amplified by the silvery backdrop.
Matching silver-painted display cabinets and a glass-top dining table complete this luxurious tableau, each element carefully considered to create a sense of sophisticated drama.
Cosy bedroom design
The master bedroom reveals itself as a restful oasis, a sanctuary of earthy tones and opulent textures. Mirror-clad furniture creates depth and light, while heavy blackout curtains with a metallic sheen craft an intimate environment that feels both luxurious and deeply personal. A gleaming faux fur bed throw adds a tactile layer of comfort, inviting relaxation and connection.
True luxury home design
This Tanjong Rhu condo is more than a living space – it’s a carefully composed symphony of design, personality, and possibility. Interior designers Nikki Hunt and Andrea Savage have done more than create a home; they’ve crafted a living narrative that reflects the unique spirit of its inhabitants, proving that true luxury is not about perfection, but about personal expression.
In just ten days, they transformed a standard apartment into a testament to the power of imaginative design – a space that breathes, that tells stories, that exists at the beautiful intersection of functionality and pure, unbridled creativity.
