The homeowners of this ground-level condominium unit had left the design and furnishing entirely to Terry Goh of The Interior Library, entrusting him with the transformation of their private sanctuary into something extraordinary.

Terry explained that he wanted to design the apartment “like a grand presidential suite in a luxe classic hotel,” drawing inspiration from his extensive travels and the quiet opulence he had encountered in the world’s most exclusive accommodations.

The transformation wasn’t merely about selecting premium materials or investing in high-end furnishings—though both were certainly part of the process—but about orchestrating an experience that begins the moment one crosses the threshold from the building’s common corridor into this private domain.

Luxurious condo interior design

Classic goes smart with the Greek key symbol incorporated as part of the sleek coffee table that serves as both a functional centerpiece and a conversation starter in the meticulously arranged living room.

This ancient motif, representing eternity and unity, appears throughout the condominium in subtle ways—inlaid in custom cabinetry, etched into mirror borders, woven into plush area rugs—creating a rhythm that carries visitors through the space with unconscious grace.

The study was converted into a luxe enclosed dining area, transforming what was once a utilitarian workspace into an intimate setting for culinary experiences and meaningful conversations. This strategic mirror placement not only doubles the visual space but captures the dance of candlelight during evening meals, creating an almost theatrical backdrop for the rituals of daily life.

The dining hall is accented with plush banquette seating that curves invitingly around a custom-designed table of Italian marble and mood lighting strategically installed to recreate the ambience of an exclusive corner in a posh restaurant.

Elegant and luxurious master bedroom

Classic doesn’t always have to be bold or gaudy, a point Terry emphasizes as he leads the way to the master suite. Here, the design oozes understated elegance in white and cream tones that create a tranquil retreat from the world outside. Wall panelling, installed by master craftsmen over the course of three weeks, and bedside chandeliers lend the bedroom a dose of classical character without overwhelming the senses.

The boudoir stays soothing to the eye in cream tones, with textural elements—silk drapery, velvet headboard, crisp Egyptian cotton linens—providing the subtle luxury that makes this ground-floor condominium feel miles away from traditional residential living.

$200,000 renovation

As evening falls and the carefully programmed lighting sequence begins its automatic transition, the full impact of this $200,000 renovation becomes apparent. This isn’t merely an attractive living space—it’s a carefully choreographed experience that elevates the everyday into something extraordinary.

The ground-floor location, once considered a potential drawback by some, has been transformed into an advantage, with a private terrace that extends the living space outdoors and blurs the lines between interior comfort and natural beauty.
