The brief given to Derrick Lim from D’Marvel Scale for this three-storey terrace was to create clean and uncluttered spaces. A raised platform decked in chengal wood leads the way in from the main gate of the home. This neutral colour palette corresponds to that of the indoor spaces.

The “caged” staircase and the “reflective pond”, made of granite in a glossy finish, are standout visual features in the home’s interiors.

In the sunny master bedroom on the second storey, Derrick built a headboard for the bed with wood-lookalike laminates. Berry pendant lamps from Verde Light are decorative accents in the cosy room.

The customised lighting design in the master bedroom’s balcony is inspired by trees.

The daughter’s room on the third floor has a different style from the rest of the house. Derrick installed Craftstone’s Craftbrick faux bricks on the wall behind the bed, and paired them with a platform made out of wood pallets.

The game-cum-guest room has a chalkboard feature which camouflages the bathroom doors.
