The owner of this three-bedroom condominium unit approached design principal Ashley Ng of Soho Interiors + Arc with his brief — to give the flat a hotel-like feel by fusing resort elements with sleek, modern touches. The designer managed to fulfil the brief using a renovation budget of $45,000 (excluding furniture).
The study area is done up boldly in contrasting black and white. An entire wall is clad in black textured wallpaper, which lends a velvety, elegant appeal to the room.
The study table takes up a good part of the room, and was intentionally made wide and spacious as it doubles as a storage space. The tabletop opens up to reveal storage areas.
A wall in the master bedroom is done up with mirrors to give the illusion of space. A long rectangular bay next to the window ledge overlooks the greenery and resort-style pools outside, when the blinds are up.
The kitchen's simple clean-lined cabinets, storage spaces and countertops contrast with the luxe furnishings in the rest of the home.
