House Tour: Visually impressive features in this three-bedroom condo apartment

Of this three-bedroom condo unit she renovated for the Lim family, architect Gwen Tan of Formwerkz states that "there's no such thing as 'less is more' in this home... the homeowners wanted every corner to be a design feature or make a statement." This includes the round bronze mirrors which were attached piece by piece to form the fish-scale-patterned feature wall in the living room.
Light-toned solid timber veneers make up a natural and modern backdrop for the home's luxe finishes.
The bronze mirrored discs reflect views from both the indoors and outdoors to visually expand the space. "Mirrors also let us 'borrow' views that the limited space doesn't have," Gwen says.
Frosted glass and mirrors visually enlarge the narrow hallway from the living room to the bedrooms.
The fabrics used for the tailor-made padded headboard of the master bedroom were matched to the shades of blue found in the striped wallpaper.
Wood veneer panelling on the wall and door camouflages the entry to the master bedroom when the former is shut.
Wallpaper on magnetic closing doors conceal the cabinets in the daughter's bedroom. A variety of wallpapers were used throughout the home to add a unique graphic element to each room.
