The owners of this 1,400sqf three-bedroom condominium unit in Sembawang requested for a modern and classy look, and that choice materials were used for a clean and authentic finishing. As a result, Max Lee, director of Icon Interior Design, chose wood veneer, rather than laminate, for the feature panels. “Wood veneer looks and feels more natural, and this lends ‘authenticity’ to the look,” Max explains.

When it came to the colour palette, Max took into account the female owner's penchant for all things Kelly Hoppen - the UK-based doyenne of interior design who's also known as the "queen of greige" (grey-meets-beige).

Based on a colour theme of contrasting dark tones and shades of white, the result is a luxurious modern-classic home.
