Designed by Design Rebirth, this five-room HDB unit in Toa Payoh was designed as a canvas for the homeowners’ colourful choice of furniture, art pieces and prints.

The couple framed and hung the loud Unikko fabric by Marimekko they got in Japan in the living room.

Contrast was created in the home by juxtaposing black-and-white monochrome with vivid oranges and reds.

The green glass lights by Ferruccio Laviani perfectly match the Poly chairs by Karim Rashid for a jolt of colour.

The eclectic elements of the common areas are restrained in the private rooms. In the master bedroom, a cosy atmosphere is created with the wooden dressing table and sideboard in a modern Danish style.

The homeowners of this 1,215 sq ft three-room HDB flat in Yishun knew they wanted a lively and eclectic space, filled with designs inspired by their ideas.

The activity room is closed off with tempered glass, so that the living room doesn't look too confined.

The homeowners also designed an open-concept kitchen, complete with a movable island countertop that can be wheeled around for more space.

Other inspired touches include a house-shaped bed frame that they commissioned from vintage store Second Charm, creating a whimsical bedroom ambience.

The common bathroom sports vintage-style patterned tiles from Soon Bee Huat for the floor, with white subway tiles for the walls.
