Layan Verde Phuket: Upcoming luxury integrated resort opening in 2028
Majority of the development consists of privately owned, fully furnished apartments. Homeowners have the option to live in them permanently, use them as holiday homes, or place them into a managed hotel rental pool operated by Dusit International for rental yield.
Spanning 7.5 hectares near Layan Beach and Sirinat National Park, the Layan Verde Phuket integrated development introduces over 774 residences, two 5-star hotels, and more than 65 self-sufficient lifestyle amenities to the island’s sought-after west coast.
Designed to combine high-end residential real estate with resort-style living, hospitality components will be operated alongside Thai hospitality powerhouse Dusit International.
Construction began in 2024, and is underway. The complete resort, including both 5-star hotels and the full suite of lifestyle amenities, is expected to fully open to the public in late 2028 (Q4 2028).

Biophilic architectural style
The architectural identity of Layan Verde leans into a biophilic, terraced aesthetic designed to integrate into the existing landscape rather than dominate it.
Lead architect Mohammed Adib of Dewan Architects + Engineers - recognised for Asia’s Best Residential Architecture Design in 2026 - guided the master plan under the principle of “see but not be seen”.
The buildings feature organic, undulating, terraced forms that follow the gentle hillside terrain. Green roofs, cascading terrain planting, and planted façades seamlessly envelope the structures. The interiors celebrate quiet luxury through a palette of locally sourced Thai materials such as native timber, terrazzo, terracotta, copper, onyx, and travertine.

Waterfall, streams, plants
Complementing the structural vision, landscape studio SHMA has layered over 16,500 square metres of greenery across the site, embedding 10 waterfalls, streams, and over 300 plant species that naturally cool the microclimate.

Layan Beach Area
Positioned on Phuket’s prime west coast, Layan Verde enters a competitive neighbourhood of premier destinations, including Laguna Phuket, Banyan Tree Phuket, and the nearby Anantara Layan Phuket Resort.
Compared to these classic single-resort compounds, Layan Verde holds a distinct strategic advantage in its infrastructure density and environmental performance. By dedicating 40% of the site to self-sufficient community amenities - ranging from coworking and wellness spaces to fine dining and retail - and targeting EDGE certification for energy and water efficiency, the project offers a forward-looking habitat suited for long-term living.

774+ Private Residences
Conversely, its main drawbacks lie in its sheer size and hillside location. The multi-phase density, accommodating over 774 units across 13 buildings, creates a vibrant mini-city atmosphere that may offer less solitary seclusion than traditional low-density beachfront villas, while sitting roughly 700 metres back from the shoreline.
