Artistroom approached the renovation of Top Ten, a freehold apartment on Emerald Hill Road, with a focus on transforming the space to meet the evolving needs of a growing family. Tasked with creating a functional yet stylish environment, the team reconfigured the layout by gutting the interiors and removing select walls to open up the space, making room for large gatherings and improving spatial flow. Recognising the family’s desire for dedicated areas, they designed customised cabinetry along the new walls in the bedrooms and kitchen, providing ample storage solutions tailored to each family member’s needs, from study nooks to organised pantry storage.

Preserving the original parquet flooring, the team layered in new design elements that enhance both warmth and sophistication. Large-format travertine-like tiles in a sand hue were selected to add a luxurious touch, while playful accents in green, purple, and terrazzo-inspired textures inject a lively yet refined vibe. This thoughtful balance of preserved elements and fresh updates exemplifies the design team’s expertise in creating spaces that seamlessly blend style and functionality, transforming the apartment into a welcoming and highly functional home for the family.

Artistroom’s design expertise shines in their transformation of this 2,300 sq ft, three-bedroom condominium into a functional and stylish family home tailored to the lifestyle of a family of four. Tasked with reimagining a space that could support both social gatherings and individual privacy, the team began by reconfiguring the layout to introduce distinct zones. By removing existing walls and creating new structural elements, Artistroom expanded the living and dining areas, adding a wet and dry kitchen with a unique island to facilitate hosting. Custom storage solutions were strategically placed throughout, meeting the family’s need for organisation while maintaining a streamlined look.

The interior design firm also addressed the couple’s work-from-home needs by designing a dedicated study area within the master bedroom, allowing for a private workspace. To enhance natural light and create a welcoming atmosphere, the designers incorporated large mirrors in the kitchen, stone-like homogenous floor tiles, and textured wall finishes that bring depth and character. Warm walnut veneer accents add a sense of comfort and elegance, resulting in an inviting and cohesive space that balances practicality with sophisticated design—hallmarks of Artistroom’s approach to crafting personalised interiors.

Pandan Valley, one of Singapore’s most iconic condominium developments, was designed with well-defined spaces for specific functions—a feature Artistroom was keen to respect in this renovation. Unlike newer developments that favour multipurpose layouts, this project presented the opportunity to retain a more traditional floor plan while optimising it to suit the lifestyle of the residents: a husband and wife, their adult son, and occasionally, their daughter. The interiors were fully reconfigured, with some walls removed to create an enlarged master suite, a spacious room for the son, and additional accommodations for family gatherings.

To cater to the family’s love of cooking and hosting, the design team transformed a lower-floor bedroom into a dedicated dining room, while the former dining area became a dry kitchen with an island for entertaining. Custom carpentry conceals a trio of refrigerators near the wet kitchen, underscoring the family’s culinary passion. A sleek monochrome palette of grey and cream provides a sophisticated backdrop for displaying their travel-acquired art collection, while large stone-like homogenous tiles anchor the design. Accents of wood texture add warmth, and off-white matte laminates in the kitchen and dining area lend a soft yet contemporary feel, harmonising the apartment’s modern elegance with functionality.
