M Atelier transformed this five-room Redhill Lane resale flat into a spacious, open-concept home for a young family and their helper, carefully balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal. Key changes in layout design, such as opening up a bedroom to create a combined dining and study area, and moving the common bathroom entrance to the service yard for added storage, illustrate M Atelier’s thoughtful approach to flow and usability. Cream and wood tones add warmth to the expansive space, creating a cosy, inviting atmosphere that caters to daily family life.
Unique design elements, such as concealed doors and strategic use of tinted mirrors, reflect M Atelier’s skill in blending form and function. M Atelier addressed the home’s layout challenges—particularly the bulky, awkwardly placed columns—by reconfiguring the space for improved flow and functionality. A rich material palette and thoughtfully planned layout bring warmth and upscale ambience, with details like a streamlined wall of storage and concealed lighting behind the television wall adding depth and functionality.
In the dry kitchen, switching to dark-tinted glass panels transformed the area into a bold focal point, while glossy stone tiles on the kitchen island create a stunning centrepiece. M Atelier softened the presence of columns in the dining area with custom half-height drawers below the window, blending storage with design. The compact wet kitchen uses covered storage and a dark monochrome palette, balanced with lighter upper cabinets for a visually spacious feel. The master bathroom boasts a unique corner bathtub, wall-to-wall mirror, and soft sand-toned finishes, creating a serene, airy retreat.
