Enjoying sea views from the comfort of home in the idyllic East Coast area sounds like a dream, but the new launch condo Meyer Blue makes it a possibility.
The freehold condo development, located on Meyer Road in District 15, is located in a quiet, low-density residential area that is popular with expats.
Launched by UOL Group and Singapore Land Group on 5 October 2024, Meyer Blue has enjoyed strong demand, with over 50% of units sold at the launch at an average price of $3,260 psf.

Meyer Blue Price
At its launch on 5 October 2024, Meyer Blue units were sold at a starting price of $2,936 psf, and at an average price of $3,260 psf.
The starting price for 667 sqft 2-bedroom premium units was $2,014,000 ($3,019 psf), that for 3-bedroom units measuring 990 sqft was $2,955,000 ($2,985 psf), that for 4-bedroom premium units measuring 1,518 sqft was $4,478,000 ($2,950 psf) and that for 5-bedroom suites measuring $1,905 sqft was $5,593,000 ($2,936 psf).
Currently, units are being put up for sale on PropertyGuru for $1,880,000 to $10,000,000, or $2,338.77 to $3,726.51 psf.
So, how does Meyer Blue compare to other condos in the area?
The Seafront on Meyer is another freehold condo on Meyer Road, a three-minute walk from Katong Park MRT station. It received its TOP in 2011. The Seafront on Meyer units are currently selling on PropertyGuru for $2,450,000 to $6,000,000. 3-bedroom units measuring 1,604 to 1,980 sqft are being put up for sale on PropertyGuru for $4,190,000 to $4,700,000 ($2,373.74 psf to $2,612.22 psf).
The Seafront on Meyer has enjoyed decent and fairly steady capital gains over the past 10 years. With any luck, Meyer Blue could enjoy the same success.

Meyer Blue enjoys a fairly good selection of amenities, including swimming pools, steam rooms, a sky gym, a poolside gym and a club lounge.
Meyer Blue condo is an 8-minute walk from the nearest Katong Park MRT Station.
Meyer Blue Location
Meyer Blue is located on Meyer Road, in a peaceful residential enclave near East Coast Park. Other than the sea views that some of the units will enjoy, the development also enjoys the proximity of a good range of amenities.
First of all, Meyer Blue enjoys good public transport connectivity, with two MRT stations located within walking distance—Katong Park, a seven-minute walk away, and Tanjong Katong, a ten-minute walk away. Both MRT stations are on the Thomson-East Coast Line.
The development is also located in a highly attractive area, a stone’s throw from the scenic East Coast Park and the sea. The city centre can be reached rapidly via the East Coast Parkway (ECP), and it is even possible to cycle to the CBD via the park connectors in under 25 minutes.
Families with kids can benefit from the choice schools in the area, including Tanjong Katong Primary School, Haig Girls’ School, Chung Cheng High School (Main), Kong Hwa School, Tanjong Katong Secondary School, Tanjong Katong Girls’ School and Dunman High School.
While there are no shopping amenities within easy walking distance, shopping malls such as Katong Plaza, The Flow @ East Coast, Roxy Square and 112 Katong can be reached in a bit more than 25 minutes on foot or a quick bus ride.
Overall, I think Meyer Blue’s location is highly attractive—a pleasant environment, proximity to nature and recreational amenities, near the CBD, and within walking distance to the nearest MRT station.

Meyer Blue consists of 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, 4-bedroom, 5-bedroom and penthouse units. The units are more spacious than those of the typical condo.
2-Bedroom
The 2-bedroom units are all either premium units measuring 62 sqm (667 sqft) or premium units with a study measuring 66 sqm (710 sqft), so they are significantly more spacious than typical 2-bedroom condo units. This also means this development does not have any really small or shoebox units. One thing I love about these units is that the living room is placed in between the two bedrooms, offering greater privacy for the occupants. This is rare as typical 2-bedroom layouts tend to line the bedrooms up side by side.

3-Bedroom
The 3-bedroom units measure 92 sqm (990 sqft), while the 3-bedroom premium units measure 106 sqm (1,141 sqft). The 3-bedroom units line up two of the bedrooms side by side, and separate the third bedroom with the living room, while the 3-bedroom premium units line up all three bedrooms side by side. I personally prefer the former. However, the 3-bedroom premium units do have the advantage of having a much bigger kitchen, as well as a storeroom.

4-Bedroom
The 4-bedroom units are larger than typical condo units. There are only premium units measuring 141 to 142 sqm (1,518 to 1,528 sqft), or premium units with a study measuring 161 sqm (1,733 sqft). All have a private lift. The living room and dining area is extremely spacious and also has a balcony.

5-Bedroom
The 5-bedroom apartments are huge suites with a private lift measuring 177 sqm (1,905 sqft). One thing that stands out to me is that the master bathroom is really massive, and the combined size of the master bathroom and walk-in wardrobe are almost equal to the size of the actual master bedroom.

Meyer Blue Rent Price
Meyer Blue is still under construction. There is thus no information at the moment on rent prices.
At the nearby Seafront on Meyer, 3-bedroom units measuring 1,615 sqft are currently being put up for rent on PropertyGuru for $7,800 a month. These are roughly equivalent in size to 4-bedroom units at Meyer Blue.
If Meyer Blue commands similar rents, the rental yield might be rather lacklustre.

Meyer Blue Review
To me, Meyer Blue is a truly luxurious condo development, with extra spacious units and an attractive, scenic location. It does well in practical ways, too, with two MRT stations within walking distance and a good selection of amenities and schools nearby.
However, it is relatively expensive, and thus might not be the best choice for those whose purchasing decision hinges mainly on rental yield.
