As an Eastie, nothing in the West attracts me as much as the quaint and laid-back vibes that Holland Village has to offer. While there were mixed feelings when iconic heritage shops like Thambi magazine stand and Khiam Teck party goods wrapped up their businesses, we are also thrilled to look forward to the new era of Holland Village. The launch of the One Holland Village development, where Quincy House serviced apartments are located, injects a fresh and modern look to Holland Village, and we were all hyped up for a stay.

Quincy House Serviced Apartment at One Holland Village

We visited One Holland Village by Far East Mall when it opened its doors late last year. The shopping mall is unlike the usual enclosed and fully air-conditioned ones that most of us will be used to, as it is designed and intended as a pet-friendly mall. What we liked about One Holland Village is the lush greenery and open podium spaces for the people and pets within the mixed-use development serving retail and residential functions, including the serviced apartments at Quincy House.

Quincy House, situated at One Holland Village is within a 3-min walk to the nearest Holland Village MRT, with various bus options, or a 10-minute car ride from town. When we took a private hire during off-peak hour from Somerset, we got to Quincy House in just 8 minutes. You can choose to drive there too, as plenty of parking lot spaces are available in the basement.

Quincy House Serviced Apartment: Be Yourself at Quincy

Keeping to the “Be Yourself at Quincy” ethos and brand from Quincy Hotel, Quincy House at One Holland Village was launched in October 2024 by Far East Hospitality. The Quincy Brand is all about a tailored and personalised guest experience helmed by the Quincy Qurators - the service staff and guide at Quincy.

We were caught off guard by the pleasant surprises at Quincy House right from the moment when we were checking in. My choice of honey yuzu Quincy juice shot was served by the reception reflected a “Chill” preference in the Quincy Qurate Neighbourhood Guide for Holland Village. Other preferences also include “Style” and “Wow” with recommendations and discounts from Quincy House’s partners such as Lola’s Cafe and Natureland Spa and Massage.

That is not all, as every check-in guest can expect a complimentary “See You At Quincy kit”. It is a gift box filled with much-needed items like a pair of foldable shades, a collapsible bottle, and even a cute cotton mesh bag that came in handy while we explored the Holland Village neighbourhood.

Quincy House Serviced Apartment: Property Amenities

Aside from the reception area, the living room at Quincy House on Level 2 is a communal social space with cozy lounge seats and desk spaces to work or eat from. The coffee and snack bar can also be found in the living room, where we helped ourselves to the cereal and drinks at any point of the day.

There are dedicated gym and laundry rooms on Level 1. We were impressed by how huge and bright the fitness room is, thanks to the full-length glass windows, it is also fitted with bathrooms and lockers! The treadmills and exercise bicycle machines are placed in front of the windows, overlooking the grass patch for pets to run around at One Holland Village. The laundry room is a self-service launderette with everything you need on, from the washer, dryer, and even an ironing station. You can also work from the laundry room with the social space in the middle while waiting for your laundry to be ready.

To enjoy some fresh air, there are open seating options near the alfresco kitchen, or even on Level 7, where we found more lounge pavilion seating, barbeque pits, and even a 20-metre rooftop pool with a breathtaking view of Holland Village, perfect for a nice chilly evening.

Quincy House Serviced Apartment: Two-Bedroom Deluxe Review

The cozy contemporary interior style at Quincy House feels welcoming and familiar, thanks to the use of natural wooden materials and textures throughout the spaces. After a long day of touring around One Holland Village and Quincy House, we settled into our Two-Bedroom Deluxe room right in, as we had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep.

There are 2 different layouts for the Two-Bedroom Deluxe unit, and the one we checked into had ensuite bathrooms for both bedrooms, which offers more privacy and convenience for our family of 3. We did not have to squeeze on 1 queen bed, and could make full use of the spare room that we had. Additionally, both bedrooms also come with integrated desk spaces which would be very much appreciated, as it could function as a space to work and get ready in the morning.

It is all about the impactful tiny details, such as the master bedroom designed with a jack-and-jill bathroom concept, which also doubles as a common bathroom, where we could enter from the living room. This design feature enabled our toddler to have better sleep, even when we were going in and out of the bathroom. Light switches and aircon controls are also positioned at the bedside table providing us with a seamless night-time routine.

Everything in the serviced apartment unit was intuitive and felt like home to us, as we did not have to make many compromises to our lifestyle. All of our belongings had a place to go without it looking like a mess, as they were nicely tucked away under the bed and in the wardrobe. In the kitchenette, the water filter tap reminded us about the water dispenser we have at home, where it is effortless to get the drinking water we require.

Quincy House Serviced Apartment: Family Friendly

We love how easily accessible the Quincy House compound is, thanks to the ramps installed, great for those with a baby stroller or wheelchair. Families with little ones can also choose to request a baby cot and high chair to be placed in their apartment. Daily housekeeping service is a blessing for those with and without a child, as we all know how mess and dust build up quickly in a day. You can also pay for dry-cleaning and laundry services to relieve yourself from the chores required. Those with pets can opt for pet-friendly rooms, available at an additional fee of $30 a day or $500 a month.

The proximity and sheltered walkway to One Holland Village offered the ultimate convenience in terms of the food and retail options, as we found ourselves spending the majority of our time within the area, since there are so many activities and happenings within the area. Alternatively, the Holland Village Market & Food Centre is just a 3-minute walk away with more variety of affordable meals in one place.

During checkout, we shared our feedback with the service staff that we would love to see a playground or play area set up within Quincy House for younger children, as we had to travel to the nearest open playground space at the HDB estate, which was quite a distance away for our toddler.
