Home offices and study areas becoming an increasingly important space in the home, whether it's because of the open-concept trend or the fact that working from or at home is more common now.

You'd want to ensure that your home office — if you have one — looks great, but is also comfortable for being productive in. And a big part of this is your desk, and how it's positioned. Some arrangements to consider: Do you want your desk facing the window (is there a good, soothing view?), facing the wall (no distractions!), positioned perpendicular to a bookshelf (easy access to your materials), facing the door or an interior window (more privacy, or more "inclusive" in an open-concept design)?

See in the following slides some ideas for positioning and designing your desk in your home office.
