1. Couture Bedroom Design

“This Chanel inspired look appeals to the diva in all of us. We each deserve to feel like a king in our own castle and this glamorous bedroom and bathroom suite oozes luxury in spades. Luxurious, glamorous, romantic and a little bit sexy: this design is thoroughly decadent to make you feel pampered and special, because you deserve it!

Black and white can feel stark. Instead, opt for a tinted white for a gentle soothing vibe. Add texture for softness. Boucle is tremendously popular right now and in this blush pink shade, it adds warmth and romance to the room.

Look closely at the bedroom setting designed by Design Intervention (above) and you will see that we used wallpaper behind the bed. A pattern would have disrupted the calm vibe but a plain painted wall would feel cold. This textured wallpaper is perfect. It brings depth but is subtle and not overpowering.

Lighting is my “go-to” tool to create mood and ambience which is especially important for a bedroom. Here we used four different types of light sources to create a flexible, dynamic and multi-layered lighting effect.

A favourite interior designer trick for luxe bedroom styling is to add mirrors. Mirrors always make a room feel bigger. I like to set them behind lamps so that the light bounces around the room.”

2. Art Deco Bathroom Design

“This Art Deco bathroom design appeals to homeowners who love timeless elegance and a touch of luxury, but with a clean and structured style. It’s perfect for those who enjoy bold, confident design. The black and cream marble with polished gold accents suits anyone who values sophistication and quality.

Art Deco design is typified by a monochromatic palette. Opt for bold, contrasting colours like black and white. If you enjoy more colour, you could add in your favourite jewel tone for additional contrast. Emerald green or sapphire blue or even amethyst could work nicely.

Choose high-quality materials like marble and glass that have a rich, lustrous quality. Emphasise symmetry to achieve the balanced and structured look typical of the Art Deco era and keep proportions strong and confident.

Add accents in polished metal. Here I have used gold for a sense of luxury but shiny chrome can work well too.

Opt for bold, glamorous light fixtures with clean lines and metallic finishes. If space permits, consider a feature chandelier to elevate the space and make it truly special.”

3. Holiday Chic

“Designed to appeal to the romantic dreamer, this bedroom exudes a gentle, carefree vibe and the addition of gold metallic details lends a touch of glamour to elevate the look of the room. The soft, pastel tones, ombre patterns and light textures are like a cool breeze on a balmy day, leaving you calm and soothed.

The secret to the success of any design is finding the perfect balance. Too pale and it can be boring, too much colour or pattern and it can overpower. Everyone will have their own personal perfect combination, experiment and play around to see what suits you best.

Keep colours of the walls and floors light, then add tones and patterns with loose furnishings. This will give you maximum flexibility. Build layers gradually, mix and edit to see how the different combinations affect you.

Include some green elements if you want to bridge the look of the interiors with the greenery outside.”

4. Nature Interior Design

“Looking to prioritise your wellbeing? Then this bathroom design is perfect for you. We are seeing a trend of homeowners opting for more lavishly designed bathrooms, and it makes sense because the bathroom is where we begin and end each day, so why not turn it into a beautiful space to help put us in the right mood for the day ahead. Let’s not forget this is the only room where we can enjoy some much needed alone time as well.”
