It all began with a candle. Established in Paris in 1961, the iconic (and extremely stylish) Diptyque brand is now globally recognised — and highly sought-after for anyone searching for an elevated and luxurious touch to a room or space, whether it’s the living room or bathroom.
Why is Diptyque so special? Masters of their trade, each product boasts what excellent craftsmanship should look like, and the brand has stayed true to its roots and essence. Not to mention its fragrance choices are divine! Each one tells a story; an ode to a place, destination or ancient fable, from the fields of Provence to the Greek myth of Minthé.
Is Diptyque considered luxury? It most certainly is, and for this reason, it is a beautiful gift to give someone, or the perfect finishing touch for any room in your home. For those undergoing a home renovation or room redesign, check out the French brand’s stunning range of Diptyque home decor and Diptyque home goods, from candles to room sprays. It’s no surprise that many 5-star hotels stock it in suites and rooms.
Is Diptyque available in Singapore? Yes, there are three physical stores: ION Orchard, Raffles City and Ngee Ann City. Also, nab Diptyque products from online shopping platforms like Lazada and Amazon, but the brand delivers directly from its US platform to SG. How much does Diptyque cost in Singapore? It’s not the cheapest brand around, but the prices are in line with its global price tags.

Diptyque Figuier (Fig Tree) Classic Candle, $85.30
When I think of this tres chic Parisian brand, the first products of theirs that spring to mind are their classic Diptyque home candles. And the Diptyque Fig Candle is one of their best-sellers/most popular fragrances.
To be fair, figs are very French — figs and camembert, anyone — and upon lighting its wick, you’ll instantly feel transported somewhere in the South of France, more specifically, Provence, where they grow in abundance.
The smell is completely reminiscent of a fig tree, from bark to fruit.
It’s recommended to allow the candle to burn for four hours the first time you use it, so that the top wax layer is completely melted. You should also often cut the wax (between 3 to 5mm).
Available in a 2.4oz size (68g), the iconic fig-scented novelty also comes in a Diptyque candle large size, including 6.5oz, 10.6oz and 51.3oz. The bigger sizes swap the transparent white-glass look for Diptyque’s green candle jars. Repurpose these into Diptyque home decor, the jars are that pretty!
Diptyque Figuier (Fig Tree) Classic Candle is priced at $85.30 from Amazon.
Diptyque La Droguerie Odour Removing Room Spray, €62 ($92)
Did you know that, along with its collections of Diptyque home fragrance products, from candles to diffusers, the French-born brand has introduced a home cleaning range: La Droguerie.
All are 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly (and are ecocert-certified), including the bottles.
I especially love the odour-removing spray from this range, formulated using basil — the primary scent you smell when using the odour eliminator. With three dogs in our household, it’s perfect for ensuring my entire home stays smelling extra fresh. It’s also fantastic for masking outdoor air pollutants that may drift through your home if you live in an HDB.
While basil (which is already a powerful scent) is the primary note, you also get other scents coming through, like mint and tomatoes. It’s as if stepping into your very own fresh, veggie garden.
P.S. Apart from spritzing it across a room, use it directly on throws, cushions and curtains. My animals are part of the family, so I appreciate this factor, as yes, they do lounge on the couch!
Diptyque La Droguerie Odour Removing Room Spray is priced at €62 ($92) from Diptyque.
Diptyque Roses Candle, $329
Weighing over half a kilogram (598g to be exact), the Roses Candle arrives in a gorgeous baby pink ceramic vessel, engraved with Diptyque’s iconic label.
Its size is the Diptyque candle large option, which is just one size under the most massive candle from this range. So, it’s truly a standout feature on any surface, whether a tabletop, shelf or counter. Due to its colour, it looks especially pretty in a girl’s bedroom or guest bathroom.
Useful to know: Not all of the homeware brand’s candles are available in its large ceramic sizes. Only recently did the Diptyque candle rose fragrance become available in an iconic ceramic.
Picture walking into a garden of the most beautifully scented florals. That’s what this Diptyque candle Singapore smells like. It’s a best-seller for a reason!
Handcrafted in the South of France, the wax is handpoured into a terracotta pot where it’s left to set.
Diptyque Roses Candle is priced at $329 from escentials.
Diptyque Car Diffuser Cartridge, $85
Who says only your home is supposed to smell nice? There’s no better feeling than getting into your car and being hit with a wave of the most delicious and divine smells. Right?
(Anyone with kids or pets can testify to how easily dirty a car can get, from food crumbs to dog hairs.)
And if you’re super fussy about your vehicle — fancy car owners, talking to you here — you have to have a car diffuser that matches.
If you’re buying a Diptyque car diffuser from Lazada, there are seven of its iconic fragrances to choose from: Orange Blossom, Baies, Roses, 34, Ambre, Figuier and Ginger.
How to use? First, insert the scented cartridge into the diffuser. Attach the diffuser to your car’s AC/fan compartment. As air flows through, the diffuser is activated and uses a cold diffusion system.
Enjoy the capsule diffuser for up to 40 hours.
Diptyque Car Diffuser Cartridge is priced at $85 from Lazada.
Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint Germain Room Spray, $138
If you ever spot a Diptyque home fragrance and it’s listed as ‘34,’ it’s referring to the brand’s famous 34 Boulevard Saint Germain scent. An icon for sure.
You’re probably wondering what on Earth it smells like? (I especially love the backstory behind this one.) Instead of a flower, fruit, or even a city, this particular scent was crafted after Diptyque’s physical Parisian store, located at, well, 34 Boulevard Saint Germain! Even more iconic is the fact that it was their first-ever shop to open, circa 1961!
So, what does this divine signature room spray smell like? Warm and a touch spicy, it’s a combination of moss and blackcurrant leaves, floral notes (like violet, iris, rose, geranium and tuberose) and wood.
Although it’s available in other forms, like candles and fragrances, I love that you can replicate the actual physical smell of the store with one little spray!
Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint Germain Room Spray is priced at $138 from Lazada.
Diptyque Ribbed Candle Holder, USD$84 (approx.S$106)
How visually stunning is the Diptyque Ribbed Candle Holder?! An ideal vessel to hold Diptyque home candles in a super stylish way, I say you could even add a Diptyque diffuser set to the decor jar.
I am obsessed with its design — those ribbed edges are everything, and I love how it curves into a smaller centre at the top.
With just the right amount of transparency, I personally think that the clear-glass Diptyque candles look the best in the candle holder with its muted light effect. But you could add any candle in here for an elevated look in the home (it doesn’t have to be this brand).
This candle holder is available in a variety of sizes: miniature, small and classic. The large-sized candle holder has a slightly different shape to accommodate a massive candle within.
Envisioned by Jean-Marc Gady studio, it’s made into a flame-blown glass cloche. It screams eleganza.
Diptyque Ribbed Candle Holder is priced at USD$84 from Diptyque.
Diptyque Baies (Berries) Very Large Candle, €325 (S$485)
The thing that shot this French homeware brand to fame all those decades ago was its candles. To date, it remains Diptyque’s most sought-after product, and so my list of the best Diptyque products overflows with gorgeous candle options.
The Diptyque Baies (Berries) Very Large Candle is colossal, crafted with three wicks — and yes, you must light all three simultaneously. This explains/justifies the Diptyque candle price on this one. However, no matter which size you purchase in the iconic baies scent, all are best-sellers — baies is that in-demand!
What does it smell like? A combination of juicy blackcurrant berries along with rose accents. Fruity and flowery, I describe it as delicious! Like you want to eat the air as soon as the candle is lit.
You might have noticed that the colour of the porcelain vessels mimics the flavour profile for candles. For example, Roses is set in a diptyque candle pink jar. This one is a strong black colour, representative of blackcurrants.
Diptyque Baies (Berries) Very Large Candle is priced at $485 from Diptyque.
Diptyque L’Art Du Soin Velvet Hand Lotion, $108
Every bathroom deserves a beautiful hand lotion…It’s the small touches your guests will appreciate. The Diptyque L’Art Du Soin Velvet Hand Lotion is also a stunning housewarming gift! I’d be super stoked if I received any Diptyque home goods as a pressie.
Unlike the other Diptyque Singapore hand lotions, L’Art Du Soin Velvet isn’t one of the brand’s hallmark fragrances transformed into hand cream form.
Instead, it is its own blend of crispy floral freshness, inspired by chrysanthemums (known as the “Golden Flower” of Corinth) and is an ode to Greek mythology.
Primary ingredients include sweet almond, citrusy petitgrain (used in essential oils, it’s similar to neroli and is extracted from leaves, twigs and branches of the bitter orange tree) and Virginia cedar.
Moving onto the healing side, it contains sesame oil (a natural antioxidant) and Roman Chamomile Floral Water, which is ultra soothing on the skin. It comprises anti-free radical properties, and you really feel how well-moisturised and soft your hands are post-use.
Diptyque L’Art Du Soin Velvet Hand Lotion is priced at $108 from iShopChangi.
Diptyque Softening and Comforting Wash for the hands, $129
Every hand lotion needs an accompanying hand wash — I’m sure many homeowners would agree. Because chances are, if you’re reading this, then you like/appreciate the finer things in life, just like me!
Whenever I purchase a fancy hand lotion, I always grab a matching hand wash. A set always takes things up a notch, don’t you agree?
While Diptyque offers a range of hand washes, this one matches in looks alongside the Diptyque L’Art Du Soin Velvet Hand Lotion. Elevate your bathroom game and invest in a Diptyque hand-care tray, designed in an intricate interlinked oval shape that allows the hand wash and lotion to sit perfectly side by side.
Lavender is, hands-down, one of my favourite scents in the entire universe! The Diptyque Softening and Comforting Wash for the hands comprises lavender, rosemary, amber and ylang-ylang. Honestly, this scent profile is one that I go back to time and time again: a classic!
Diptyque Softening and comforting wash for the hands is priced at $129 from Lazada.
Diptyque White Medicis Vase, USD$140 (S$176)
If there’s one thing I am known for, whether it’s my personal or home style aesthetic, it’s being different, and I love adding items to my home that stray away from the typical tide. When I first saw Diptyque’s White Medicis Vase, I instantly knew I had to have one!
Not only is it named after the infamous Medicis, who hail from my favourite city in the world (Florence, Italy), but the shape and materials of this vessel take you back in time, somewhere in the 15th century.
For history buffs and design enthusiasts, if the vases appear familiar, it’s because they were modelled after the iconic Medicis vases! They were designed by the Jean-Marc Gady studio in Portugal.
How interesting is the material, crafted by hand in white wax and stamped with a signature white biscuit medallion? Running your hands along the surface, it does have that glossy, waxy feel, but it can withstand and hold water. However, after a while, the vase develops a patina.
Choose between two sizes: small and large.
After all, Diptyque became famous for its wax creations, i.e., candles, so this is a stunning ode to the world of wax! I love it.
Diptyque White Medicis Vase is priced at USD$140 from Diptyque.
