We were at Commune recently for their fifth anniversary party, and spotted some stuff (at their Defu Lane outlet) that will look great in the home, like these colourful geometric-patterned cushions that will add a nice finishing touch to your black or brown sofa.

Commune collaborated with luxury swimwear brand K.Blu to create a stylish range of cushion covers, placemats, coasters and other dining accessories in beautiful prints.

Adding tableware and vases on sideboards or tabletops is an easy and great way to style up a space.

This ceramic grey-blue vase ($119) is really pretty, too! Plus, it was on 30 per cent sale when we were there.

5/9

This table lamp ($399) in striking gold is elegant and useful, and will pair well with any Art Deco furniture pieces you might have.

The herringbone patterns on the Bruno coffee table ($599) will stand out against the other furniture at home, and create interest particularly in the living room. It has solid tropical hardwood edging, and brass-finished metal to give it an overall rustic yet refined look.

7/9

Create a cosy corner at home when you display photos, books, and decor accessories on the House shelf ($999). It comes in solid American walnut and oak.

8/9

I really like the spotlight ($399) for its steel and bronze finish! Its retro look will add a quirky touch to the home.

9/9

For the study, this sturdy bookcase in walnut ($1,899) will be able to house your extensive book collection, and more!
