When content creator Marjhan Kausar(@marjhankausar) bought her first piece of furniture as a newly-wed in 2017, she had no idea it would become a lasting part of her growing family.

Her grey fabric King Living Jasper sofa has proven super resilient, gracefully weathering the daily adventures of two children and pets, while maintaining its composure through spills and stains.

“The covers really stood the test of time,” says Marjhan. “I had them sprayed with KingGuard+ (fabric protector) and they were dry cleaned every few months. The quality of the fabric has stayed true to its original texture, which is amazing for a seven-year-old sofa.”

Another feature that drew Marjhan to the modular Jasper sofa is its versatility. Initially, she arranged it in a cosy U-shape, but when her family moved into their new apartment, the layout no longer fit.

Thanks to the sofa’s flexible design, she could easily split it across two seating areas, making it a perfect fit for their new space. “We now have a seating area for the family and watching television and another for when guests come over. I honestly love how it looks both ways,” says Marjhan.

Purposeful style, pure relaxation

The Jasper sofa’s patented component connecting system lets owners easily reconfigure the seats, armrests and back cushions to fit their needs. For Marjhan, this means she can transform her sofa into a guest bed or rearrange it for a cosy movie night in minutes.

Customisable with accessories like timber veneer shelves, wireless charging tables, and LED reading lights, the Jasper sofa also comes fitted with plush Ultradown cushions and King Living’s Postureflex seating system to provide good back support. Its recyclable steel frame – backed by a 25-year warranty – ensures durability, while the discrete, optional under-seat storage gives you more space to tidy things away and can be operated with a single-handed lift.

Earlier this year, Marjhan decided it was time for a refresh. While she loved her Jasper sofa, she wanted a new look and chose a lighter fabric, Club Natural, which instantly brightened her space. During the hassle-free reupholstering process, conveniently done in her home, she swopped the sofa’s wooden panels for soft arms to eliminate sharp edges, making it safer for her young children.

“The fact that you get to keep your sofa and change its look is such a win-win scenario,” she adds.

King Living storage beds

For her bedroom, Marjhan turned to King Living once again, choosing the Jasper bed for its elegance and practicality. With integrated timber shelving and hidden storage in the bed’s platform, everything she needs is conveniently within arm’s reach. The bed’s gas struts make lifting for extra storage effortless, simplifying organisation and making sheet changes easier.

Customisable in European leather or premium fabric, the bedhead and base can be tailored to suit anyone’s style. The removable covers can be professionally cleaned or replaced to give the bed a fresh new look, ensuring both comfort and lasting appeal.

For Leana Doray (@modernasianlife), who moved into a 1970s walk-up apartment in April this year, the Jasper sofa holds a special place in her heart.

“With a King Living sofa you get a designer sofa that looks beautiful and I know for a fact that it will last,” says Leana, who used to own a King Living sofa while studying and working in Sydney. “Dharma, my husband, also really likes the warranty, sturdy steel structure and plush cushions.”

In their previous Orchard Road condominium two-room apartment,  the couple naturally owned a Jasper. Her love for L-shaped modular King Living sofas stayed strong and the couple acquired the 1977 sofa, with matching ottomans, for the new walk-up.

With its gentle curves and contours, the sofa invites instant relaxation and fits into any space. Its modular design allows Leana to reconfigure the chaise from left to right or rearrange individual modules to suit her changing needs.

Built to last, the sofa’s recyclable steel frame also comes with a 25-year warranty, ensuring long-term durability. The removable, washable covers make it easy for Leana to refresh the look of her sofa — she alternates between fresh white and forest green — keeping her space stylish and vibrant all year round.

To complement her 1977 sofa, Leana chose the Issho side table in American Walnut. Featuring a sculptural base and pebble-shaped top, this elegant piece blends effortlessly into any space, whether used on its own or paired with other tables. For those seeking a different finish, the Issho side table is also available in brushed Onyx and Smoked Oak.

Leana completed her sophisticated space with the Pallino table lamp, which adds a touch of elegance and soft glow to her living room. The lamp’s sleek, refined silhouette is highlighted by a hand-blown glass sphere, available in moody smoked glass or clear glass, which pairs well with the understated metal base, offered in high-gloss piano black or enamel white. This chic, plug-in design makes for a modern and versatile lighting accessory that can enhance any decor.
