If you think recycled furniture still means clunky, rough-around-the-edges plastic, think again. QORE (a design-led circular material platform started by Jatanat Suppipat (Jade) and his co-founder) is completely flipping the script from their factory floor in Samut Sakhon, Thailand.
Instead of settled-for “downcycled” items, QORE mixes industrial recycling with fine woodworking craftsmanship to turn everyday trash into luxury architectural panels and stunning furniture.
We’re talking about giving a second life to discarded coffee chaff, post-consumer food packaging, eggshells, rPET plastics, and factory wood shavings - transforming them into slick, durable, non-porous surfaces that look like they belong in a high-end interior design mag.

We’ve moved past the era where eco-friendly materials try to fake being natural marble or oak. Today’s recycled design trend is all about “material honesty” - showing off the rich textures, subtle flecks, and natural tonal variations that make upcycled pieces look unique.
Thanks to high-tech thermo-compression molding, QORE turns over 80% recycled content into rock-solid 5mm to 20mm structural panels. They’re totally waterproof, load-bearing, and available in everything from smooth honed finishes to vibrant terrazzo composites.

QORE worked with Alchemist Arab Street to showcase the transformation of coffee chaff waste and recycled plastics.
QORE is already making waves in Singapore through cool local partnerships - most notably with specialty coffee joint Alchemist. Together, they’ve diverted over 1.2 tonnes of plastic waste and 150 kg of coffee chaff directly into cafe interiors and fixtures.
To celebrate their Singapore debut, QORE dropped the limited-edition Betterism Stool. Capped at just 119 numbered pieces (a nod to Alchemist’s historic Arab Street spot), every single stool upcycles coffee chaff saved from roughly 400 cups of espresso!

A minimalist, stackable circular stool pairing an uncoated metal frame with an upcycled material seat. Designed with circularity at its core, the seat can be easily disassembled and re-processed into future iterations at the end of its life.
