This year marks the 10th anniversary for Courts Megastore Tampines.

Courts Megastore will be celebrating a decade of bringing mega-sized deals to local shoppers since it pioneered big-box retail in 2006.

And the day coincides with The New Paper Courts Big Walk on Nov 26.

Mr Stan Kim, country chief executive officer of Courts Singapore, says: “Being a family-oriented retailer that has a 42-year presence here in Singapore, it was a natural fit for Courts to partner with The New Paper on the annual Big Walk that promotes family bonding, fun and well-being.

“The Big Walk coincides with our 10th year anniversary of our megastore in Tampines, and so 10 is a special number for us as we bring this event to over 10,000 Singaporeans.

“On Nov 26, we’re celebrating by having families and shoppers enjoy a day of fun, food, entertainment and, most importantly, mega-sized deals at our Tampines Megastore.

“It’s a mega celebration of 10 years of serving the communities’ needs for furniture at affordable prices, and all are invited to come and enjoy the festivities and great deals we’ve lined up.”

He adds: “Our megastore launched to great fanfare, displaying many innovative retail concepts in over 136,000 square feet of retail space.

“On the pre-opening night, overnight queues snaked around the block. Over 45,000 people walked into our store that weekend.”

The megastore is one of the most popular stores here, drawing a strong weekend crowd of shoppers looking for furniture, IT and electronics at great prices and quality service, says Mr Kim.

“We’re proud of being the pioneers in this area, and haven’t been resting on our laurels since – with constant innovation and new offerings that delight customers.”

EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION

Mr Kim says: “Courts constantly innovates and revitalises our product ranges to serve increasingly sophisticated and diverse homeowners’ needs.

“Families are becoming more conscious of how important bedding is so we’ve just launched The Hotels Collection at our megastore, an exclusive collection of mattresses that brings a five-star hotel sleeping experience into every home at an affordable price.

“Shoppers are also welcome to customise their beds according to preferences such as support and comfort level, via our Customise Your Bed service.”

Courts also understands the importance of staying relevant in the digital age.

“Tech has become a crucial part of everyone’s daily lives and we know how painful tech problems can be. People can now come to Courts for a quick fix with a reputable brand and service,” says Mr Kim.

“We offer digital and mobile repair services and customers can purchase affordable protection plans for their new tech purchases, or drop by to service any issues they are having with their gadgets.”

Another one of Courts’ innovations is Courts Design Studio.

Mr Kim says: “For new homeowners or those who want to redecorate their home, Courts Design Studio – which is available at megastore and three other Courts stores – offers personalised home interior and furnishing packages with a reputable renovation partner at competitive prices and customised service. Homeowners are able to stretch their dollar with affordable monthly instalments via Courts Flexi Home.”

Courts also has a loyalty programme called Courts HomeClub that offers lifetime membership with no sign-up cost, with benefits including discounts and exclusive promotions. Shoppers are able to easily upgrade to HomeClub Elite, Courts’ premium membership programme, for a low annual fee of $59, which rewards shoppers with benefits such as free delivery, $120 Courts vouchers, member-only exclusive deals and the opportunity to earn two times on NTUC LinkPoints on purchases – among other premium benefits. Shoppers can sign up at any Courts store.
