WALKING ON EGGSHELLS
Did you know that we produce around 250,000 tons of eggshell waste annually worldwide? And much of that ends up in landfill?
Nature Squared, an innovative surface material studio based in London with research and production facilities in Switzerland, Germany and the Philippines, has launched CArrele, the world’s first collection of handmade eco- friendly eggshell wall tiles.
CArrele is available in square and rectangular shapes and four colour families: earthy neutrals, greens, pinks and blues, which are dyed using natural materials.

BIOPHILIA MANIA
Spanish luxury brand Lladro, known for its high quality and artistic handcrafted porcelain pieces, has co-created a capsule collection with Miami-based design studio Plant The Future.
Harnessing the spike in the global appetite for biophilic design elements, it comprises porcelain planters in the shape of a rabbit, a gorilla, an elephant and a rhinoceros.
“Biophilia is an innate love for the natural world that impels us to connect with all living things, and to feel the joy and peace deeply rooted in our biology,” shares Paloma Teppa, founder of Plant The Future, whose mission is to connect humans with nature through art and design.
The collection, also part of Lladro’s Conscious & Creative initiative, fuses the unique artistry of handmade porcelain with cacti, air plants and succulents.

MID-CENTURY MODERN
Designed to accommodate a domestic life requiring some degree of flexibility, Castlery’s new Madison sofa collection is a fresh take on the mid-century modern sofa with its clean lines and a chic touch of retro tufted detailing that are a welcoming highlight in any living room.

WELL_BEING CHAIR
Homegrown health and wellness brand Osim has won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 accolade for its chair, the uDream.
Dubbed as the world’s first well-being chair, the uDream integrates five senses into its design to help users measure, monitor, and manage their stress levels via an app that calculates and tracks each user’s Body Tension Scores.
The accolade marks Osim’s sixth Red Dot win.
