CONTEMPORARY CANDLESTICKS
Japanese designer Hiroto Yoshizoe has captured the romance and beauty of candlelight and reimagined it for our contemporary world with Hymn, a rechargeable portable lamp series from Ambientec.
The lamps feature an element of movement, which is achieved by combining a small lens in transparent acrylic in a thin metal holder with a metal pendulum that sways thanks to magnetic forces, creating a dancing effect akin to candlelight.

Ambientec’s Hymn series is launched at Supersalone in Milan, price upon request. Visit www.ambientec.co.jp for more information.

SCULPTURAL WONDER
British furniture brand Isokon Plus will launch Iso-lounge chair, its first collaboration with famed designer Jasper Morrison during the London Design Festival in late September.

Developed over 18 months, Iso-lounge is a sculptural chair made of engineered plywood with a deceptively simple form that pushes the technical performance of its material. It is an excellent nod to the modernist Bauhaus era.
Iso-lounge is available to pre-order from £1,500 (approximately $2,790) at www.isokonplus.com.
