6 iconic lighting designs at Euroluce 2017 in Milan

In conjunction with Salone Del Mobile (or the Milan Furniture Fair), Euroluce, the International Lighting Exhibition gathers the best of lighting designs from around the world.

From renowned brands like Louis Poulsen, which carries modern, well-designed lighting pieces, to Saint-Louis that offers elaborate, luxurious crystal chandeliers, there's something to pique the interest of any lighting design enthusiast, and a platform where industry players can see the latest pieces available on the market.

Here, we feature some very stylish pieces spotted at the exhibition:

1. La Lampe Parade by Maiori Design

Designed as a versatile lighting fixture, La Lampe Parade can be used both indoors and outdoors. 

The lamps are solar-powered, and made of teakwood and aluminium, with powder-coated aluminium shades.

 

2. Moon Lamp by Brian Kirk

The design of the Moon Lamp is Inspired by ‘komorebi’, a Japanese term that depicts the unique patterns and shadows created when sun rays shine through leaves and trees.

Made of ash veneer, they are available as hanging pendant lamps, table lights, and floor standing models.

3. Miro XL by Atelier de Troupe

With an extremely minimalist design, this piece by Atelier de Troupe is a statement-making lighting fixture that’ll fit perfectly into a home that has the luxury of high ceilings and double-volume space! The single frame of brass holds a glass shade which is hand blown, sand blasted and oiled.

4. Lumeneer by Grace Eun Hai Kim

Designed by Monash Art Design and Architecture student Grace Eun Hai Kim, Lumeneer is handmade by bending natural Birch veneer to form the fluid designs that make the lamp look simple, yet elegant.

5. Penta’s Acorn pendants by Matteo Bianchi

Fans of the industrial style, this is for you! The Acorn pendant lamp is made with concrete and glass — you can choose from frosted or transparent glass. It’s raw and understated, with a design that allows the beauty of the natural materials to take centrestage.

6. Saint-Louis chandeliers

Of course, how can we forget Saint-Louis’ range of chandeliers, that all come with intricate, ornate details!
