I can’t live without my KitchenAid stand mixer, and the price is very worth it, considering its power and multi-purpose usage. Whenever I need to make cake batter, fritters, icing, crème anglaise, cookie dough, breads, etc., I turn straight to my trusty appliance. Boasting 10 speeds, there’s one to suit every cooking/baking need.

The tilt-head is really convenient, too. Available in three classic Kitchenaid mixer colours, choose between Empire Red, Onyx Black, or Almond Cream. It comes with a 4.8-litre stainless steel bowl, dough hook, whisk, and flathead paddle.

I also love that this model’s design is similar to a Smeg kettle (trending), but it is just a little over half the price. Both brands are incredible, so don’t get me wrong.

With a capacity of 1.25 litres, you can get about five to six cups out of one filled-to-the-top boil. In less than four minutes, a full kettle is ready. Its LED on-off indicator switch signals when it’s done, and will turn off automatically.

Constructed from stainless steel, like most of KitchenAid artisan products, it feels really sturdy. Remove the lid, and the base has 360-degree rotation. Power-wise, it uses 2,200 watts.

The KitchenAid 3.5 Cup Mini Food Chopper is one of KitchenAid Singapore’s best sellers, too. However, take note that the food chopper and food processor are not the same tool. What’s the difference? The appliance is very compact (saving you space), and is suitable for small prep/recipes. That doesn’t mean it cannot chop or puree your ingredients.

I’d say this KitchenAid product is fantastic for novice cooks. Blend a curry paste, make salsa, or meld veggies, like butternut or sweet potato, into baby foods.

With five colours to take your pick (White, Almond Cream, Onyx Black, Empire Red, and Velvet Blue), there’s a palette to suit all kitchen aesthetics. It’s equipped with a stainless steel multi-purpose blade and a lid with a drizzle basin. It’s the ideal prepping companion!

If you’re asking yourself, “Do I need a KitchenAid stand mixer and a hand blender?” The answer is YES. There’s a huge difference between the stand mixer and the KitchenAid hand blender.

For example, my hand blender is more utilised for puree and sauce-making. I simply love the way it emulsifies ingredients, creating silky smooth textures. It’s also nifty for quickly whizzing together one or two eggs. The KitchenAid stand mixer is best for bigger baking/cooking duties, especially if there are lots of dry ingredients involved.

How to use it? Add your ingredients to the 3-cup BPA-free blending jar, place the (removable) blending arm into the jar, choose your desired speed, and whizz. The jar includes a convenient lid if you want to store it in the fridge afterward.

And because KitchenAid thinks of everything, the (patented) removable pan guard comes in handy, ensuring the jar doesn’t slide away/off the counter whilst the blender is in action. Love it!

The larger scale side (left) is for bigger bowls/measuring tools. The smaller scale side (right) is for smaller measurements. Can you use them at the same time? Yes, you can.

Measurements are displayed on the LED screen, divided into two for each scale. Another plus is the tare feature. After you’ve placed your container atop the scale, reset the weight to zero. It also first measures the container’s weight, and then starts calculating added ingredients.
