Is it possible to custom make kitchen, wardrobe, or living room carpentry worthy of Good Class Bungalows (GCB) with an HDB renovation budget? Yes, says 4PLUS8. The interior fit-out specialist has 12 year’s worth of experience working alongside some of Singapore’s most prominent residential-focus architecture firms – think award-winning firms like RT+Q Architects, Ong & Ong, Ip:Li Architects, and Aamer Architects – to fit out their GCB projects using internationally-sourced furniture and materials.

Today, the company has taken its expertise and made it available for HDB flat reno budget via its new lifestyle concept Furnic.

4PLUS8 has invested $600,000 to build a first-of-its-kind design studio that showcases the entire process of construction works, from making carpentry all the way to displaying the finished products in its showroom.

Located at Kaki Bukit Ave 1, Shun Li Industrial Park, the studio spans three levels. Potential clients can book appointments to check out its complete offering with their designer to get the best custom-fit out that their budget can get.

4PLUS8’s bespoke fit out takes up to six weeks to complete while Furnic’s modular creations can be completed in just three weeks.

Occupying the first level is the carpentry workshop. Perpetually dusted by woodshavings and stocked by a myriad of timber selections, the workshop is run by a team of 10 highly competent carpenters, each specialising in specific techniques and materials, including organic shapes and curved and ribbed surfaces.

And the best part? Since the carpentry is prefabricated and modular, the parts will be shipped efficiently and built on-site quickly, much like building lego, saving homeowners time and manpower.
