Ecovacs just announced the Deebot T8 AIVI, a robot cleaner that vacuums and mops at the same time.
To enable the Deebot T8 AIVI to do its job better, it has more sophisticated navigation and mapping system that Ecovacs say allow it to map out environments up to four times more accurately.
Key to this is its direct time-of-flight sensor that can detect objects up to two times further away and with four times greater precision than its predecessor.

It can even save multiple maps so it can work well in homes with multiple floors. Speaking of floors, the Deebot T8 AIVI can clear obstacles up to 20mm in height.
And along with the Ecovacs Home app, you can set up virtual boundaries and restrict the Deebot T8 AIVI to areas that need a more thorough cleaning.
The Deebot T8 AIVI has a three-layer filtration system that filters up to 99% of minute particle matter and particles as small as 6 microns.

Finally, it has a battery capacity of 5,200mAh and a claimed battery life of 200 minutes. When it's low on juice, it will automatically return to the charging dock to power up. And when it's done, it will automatically resume from where it left off.
The Ecovacs Deebot T8 AIVI is priced at S$799 and it can be found on Lazada. And if you buy now, you can get a S$70 voucher to bring the price down to S$729.
