Having been around since 2013, Supply & Co. has gained quite a following for its variety of men's fashion, accessories, furniture and lifestyle products from cult brands. Previously located at the Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade, it moved in 2015 to a quiet enclave in Park House within the Orchard area. The Park House store has since closed, and it's a shame the Supplies & Co website seems inactive currently too.

The 1,500 sq ft shop carries a substantial range of furniture and homeware sourced from countries such as the US, Japan and France. Here, you can get Stephen Kenn sofas, iconic Jielde lamps, as well as Tolix chairs and cabinets, sofa sets from Meister, Rhino Trunk & Case storage trunks, Mad Et Len home fragrances, and even toys and collectible figurines from Medicom Toy to accent your space. The mostly masculine, industrial-style designs incorporate materials such as metal, leather, canvas and wood.

Designed to align aesthetically with these utilarian-chic offerings, the space features raw concrete pillars, dark epoxy-finished flooring, exposed overhead cable trunking and lots of metal. The main display area is separated from the office and store by large steel sliding panels that add to its warehouse-like appearance.

"The selection of brands we carry is based on what we like. We shouldn't carry something that we wouldn't wear or have at home," says co-founder Danny Tan, who used to work in the fashion industry with business partner WJ Tan. The duo first conceived the ideas of Supplies & Co. as a concept store in 2012, as "there wasn't a one-stop shop stocking an entire range of lifestyle products from apparel to furniture," explains WJ.

Founders Danny Tan and WJ Tan set up Supplies & Company to stock items for every part of the home, from a range of designer brands. Danny, who used to work in the fashion industry, says: “I feel that if you want to dress well, you will want to live well. It’s the same aesthetics.”

All the items “have a story to tell”, and are handcrafted from materials such as leather, wood, and duffle bags. The duffle bags were used as upholstery for a sofa set by American designer Stephen Kenn, who crafted the unique military-inspired piece as a tribute to his granddad. Designs by another American brand, Lostine, possess a farmhouse-style chic that is superbly crafted using simple materials.
