10 Best WiFi Plans in Singapore (2025)
With so many of us working from home, having a steady and fast WiFi signal can make or break Whether you’re looking for a flexible no-contract deal or an ultra-fast 10 Gbps power plan, these are the best WiFi subscriptions in Singapore for every kind of household in 2025.
By Gwyneth Goh -
I used to think choosing a WiFi plan in Singapore was simple—just go with whatever bundle your telco salesperson waves at you. But after two years of dealing with slow speeds, unexpected cancellation fees (when we wanted out early), and a “free” router that barely reached the bedroom, I finally sat down and did the research. And honestly? I wish I’d done this earlier.
In Singapore’s fibre-rich landscape, there are now more options than ever. Whether you live in a small studio or a landed property, there’s a WiFi plan tailored to suit your needs—1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 3 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 6 Gbps, 8 Gbps, or even 10 Gbps. And yes, that speed does matter. If you live alone and just stream shows and check emails, 1 or 2 Gbps is probably fine. But gamers, multi-device households, and WFH warriors? You might want to ramp up to 10 Gbps for buttery-smooth video calls, file uploads, and Netflix in 4K.
That said, you can’t get up to 10 Gbps with a slow router. You’d need a good WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 router in order to enjoy multi-gig download speeds and fully utilise all that bandwidth.
So, I started caring about things like:
- Can I use my own WiFi router for home, instead of their basic one?
- Is this no contract, or am I locked in for 24 months?
- What’s the setup fee, and how painful is it to cancel?
- Does this plan future-proof me for WiFi 7 routers or multi-gig speeds if I need to upgrade my router later?
I trawled through forums like Reddit Singapore, comments on Google Reviews, and ISP Telegram chats—and even chatted with friends about their experiences. And here’s my personal take on the 10 best WiFi plans in Singapore, based on speed, contract flexibility, router freedom, and overall value.

M1 Integrated HomePac 10 Gbps with ONR + WiFi 7 router (24 months), $34.90/mth
Best WiFi 7 full-speed value for gamers and heavy streamers in Singapore
At $34.90/month on a 24-month contract, this is a pretty easy way to dive headfirst into the world of WiFi 7. One of the most affordable gigabit packages out there, M1 is even throwing in a free wireless router to sweeten the deal and quicken your path to WiFi 7. The free router (pick a TP-Link Archer BE230 or ASUS RT-BE58U) is a fairly decent one, but you also have the option of upgrading to a performance or mesh router—that can better support gaming and multi-device households—by paying extra each month.
This plan is open to new or existing customers who are re-contracting, and it also comes with an ONR (Optical Network Router)—which combines both ONT (Optical Network Terminal) and WiFi 6 wireless router functions—to be activated free of charge. Registration fees are also being waived for eligible new sign-ups. You even get a free Home Fixed Voice Service (aka landline) and a free Mobile Broadband SIM for the duration of your contract (0.5 GB of free local data each month—perhaps handy for a tablet or iPad that usually stays home).
With so many freebies in this bundle, it really seems almost too good to be true. However, M1 receives mixed online user reviews, with some praising their 10 Gbps plans and bundled offers while others complain about WiFi dropping and bad customer service. [The Straits Times ranked M1 third in the ISP category for its Singapore’s Best Customer Service 2024/2025 survey]
In any case, make sure you read all the fine print before signing up, because there are early termination and administrative fees involved should you decide to quit before the two-year period is up. Note: the earlier you terminate, typically, the heftier those fees will be.
The M1 Integrated HomePac 10 Gbps with ONR + WiFi 7 Router (24 months) is priced at $34.90/mth from M1.
StarHub UltraSpeed 5 Gbps with ONT + WiFi 7 Router (24 months), $45/mth
Best WiFi 7 ultra-speed access for medium-sized households in Singapore
If you live in a 4-room or 5-room HDB flat or equivalent, and usually have about 3-4 people in the home casually using the internet at the same time (not hard-core gaming), a 5 Gbps plan should probably suffice. Enter StarHub’s UltraSpeed 5 Gbps plan which promises “ultra seamless” and “smooth 4K streaming for 2 to 4 users”, bundled with a TP-Link HB710 WiFi 7 router.
StarHub’s UltraSpeed Network uses the latest fibre tech to deliver broadband speeds at 10 Gbps both upstream and downstream, ensuring you enjoy higher bandwidth and better performance when gaming and streaming on multiple devices. Sounds good? You can always also get the 10 Gbps plan here instead at $59.34/mth.
If your home is larger or multi-storied, you can also add additional routers for better coverage at $8/mth per router for the 24-month contract duration. Installation by the Hub Troopers is usually pretty straightforward and smooth (from personal experience), and they’re good enough to come and troubleshoot should issues arise. While there will always be angry reviews about every Telco or ISP (haters gonna hate), Starhub came in second in the ISP category of the aforementioned Straits Times’ Singapore’s Best Customer Service 2024/2025 survey.
Again, this is a two-year contract so be sure you’re up for the commitment before signing on the dotted line. Early termination charges will apply should you cancel your service before the contract is up, calculated based on the number of months left in the contract and your subscription fees.
The StarHub UltraSpeed 5 Gbps with ONT + WiFi 7 Router (24 months) is priced at $45/mth from StarHub.
MyRepublic No Contract 3 Gbps Broadband, $49.99/mth
Best no-contract high-speed broadband in Singapore for renters and short-term home setups
If you were wondering which ISP ranked first in that Singapore’s Best Customer Service 2024/2025 survey, it’s this one. MyRepublic also declares itself “Singapore’s #1 Fibre Broadband Service Provider, as voted by readers of HardwareZone and HWM.” Note: MyRepublic’s home broadband services run on StarHub’s 10G-XGS-PON network, and is majority-owned by StarHub.
MyRepublic offers 3 Gbps and 10 Gbps plans tailored for gamers and non-gamers, with cool gamer bundles including flash gaming router options, Magic: The Gathering Play Boosters, or Nintendo Switch 2. They also offer “no router” plans that are uncommon—for those who already have or prefer to buy own their router.
I’ve picked this no-contract 3 Gbps plan because it is so rare—most ISPs these days insist on locking you down for 24 months. At this multi-gig speed, a small home with one or two users can enjoy low latency video streaming and gaming without any issues. There’s also a “No Contract 1 Gbps Broadband” version available.
This plan entitles you to a $150 new router discount should you like to purchase one here, a free home line (with unlimited local calls) and waiver of the $49.05 cancellation fee after 3 months (meaning this fee still applies if you cancel within 3 months). Some other fees apply though: a $59.90 service installation fee, a $61.04 NetLink Trust (NLT) service activation fee, a $182.03 termination point installation fee. Landed properties have to pay an additional fee of $151.51 for the NLT termination point installation.
The MyRepublic No Contract 3 Gbps Broadband is priced at $49.99/mth from MyRepublic.
ViewQwest VQX 10Gbps Home Broadband No Router (24 months), from $30/mth
Best no-router WiFi 7 plan for smart homes and multiple-device households in Singapore
Founded and headquartered in Singapore since 2001, ViewQwest (VQ) uses its own high performance optical network (and XGSPON technology) to provide symmetrical upload and download speeds for its 10 Gbps fibre broadband plans. It also enjoys a mixed bag of reviews—from some users praising it for “good and consistent bandwidth speeds” to others feeling “very disappointed with VQ”. That said, it’s become quite clear to me that all ISPs are loved and hated by someone or other, so like one HWZer aptly put, “pick your poison.”
ViewQwest has an impressive variety of bundles—from router and mesh bundles to gaming and entertainment (including a Prism+ TV bundle), and finally even bundles for “power users” (offering advanced networking devices for the super techy). I picked the “VQX 10Gbps Home Broadband No Router” plan because it is pretty hard to find a high-speed plan that doesn’t include some predetermined router (that probably wouldn’t have been your first choice).
This plan is great if you already have a good router or know which one you prefer to buy, and this speed is perfect for smart homes, larger households with multiple devices running concurrently, and gamers even. It’s being offered at $30/mth for the first 10 months, after which pricing will revert to $45/mth (the usual price).
For a limited time, this plan also waives the admin and NLT activation fees (worth $54.50 and $61.04 respectively) and offers three months’ free SecureNet (VQ’s cloud-delivered network security) and FDNS (Freedom DNS—VQ’s value-added service that allows you to access geo-restricted content, similar to VPN but faster because it’s unencrypted), free modem rental (should you require) and free delivery. This is a 24-month plan, and you will have to pay out the remaining contract value should you decide to terminate early.
The ViewQwest VQX 10Gbps Home Broadband No Router (24 months) is priced starting from $30/mth from ViewQwest.
MyRepublic Magic: The Gathering Play Booster (2 Boxes) + TP-Link WiFi 7 Router + GAMER 10 Gbps, $61.99/mth
Best fastest broadband in Singapore for gamers, MTG fans, and people who just want really fast Internet
Opensignal (an independent global provider of network experience and telecommunications market performance insights) analysed Singapore’s fixed broadband user experiences in 2024. Their report found MyRepublic to be the winner across 4 out of 5 overall experience categories, hands down winning the ‘Download Speed’ and ‘Peak Download Speed’ categories, and tying for ‘Consistent Quality’ and ‘Video Experience’.
In the ‘Download Speed’ category, MyRepublic wins with average download speeds that are 11 Mbps—a glaring 7% faster than StarHub’s in second place (puzzling why, since they use the same network). In any case, I’m telling you this so you know that this plan is quite literally the fastest plan you can humanly get in Singapore right now.
This plan offers an exclusive MTG bundle for Magic: The Gathering fan, including 2 Play Booster boxes, and a TP-Link Archer BE805 WiFi 7 router (which you need to top up $50 for). Free termination point installation is included, along with a free home phone line with unlimited calls. You will also have to pay $59.90 for service installation (unless you’re recontracting, in which case you’ll only pay $29.90) and $61.04 for NLT service activation. Again, an extra $151.51 charge applies for the NLT termination point installation if you live in a landed property.
Not an MTG fan and don’t have kids who are? A similar Gamer 10 Gbps (with router) plan is available without the MTG Play Booster boxes for $59.99/mth (only $2/mth less, making the MTG bundle seem very worthwhile indeed).
The MyRepublic Magic: The Gathering Play Booster (2 Boxes) + TP-Link WiFi 7 Router + GAMER 10 Gbps plan is priced at $61.99/mth from MyRepublic.
ViewQwest 10 Gbps eero Max 7 – 2 Nodes (WiFi 7) (24 months), from $60/mth
Best mesh WiFi 7 plan for 4K lovers and future-proofing large households in Singapore
The same Opensignal report ranking MyRepublic top in four categories found ViewQwest (VQ) tying with MyRepublic for first place in two categories—’Consistent Quality’ and ‘Video Experience’. This means ViewQwest is best for streaming those 4K Netflix movies and online videos.
The Amazon eero Max 7 is also a very respectable mesh option for blanketing your home in WiFi 7. It’s so fast it’s even good for streaming 8K content (though you’d need an 8K TV or monitor)—this definitely future-proofs your home set-up. The eero has four high speed Ethernet ports (two 10 Gb and two 2.5 Gb) and supports wired speeds up to 9.4 Gbps. It also supports over 200 connected devices, making it ideal for large multiple-device households with high demands for WiFi.
On paper, two eeros cover up to 5,000 sq ft, which should be fine for most medium to large homes in Singapore. This plan is currently being offered at $60/mth for the first 10 months, after which pricing will revert to $75/mth (the usual price).
For a limited time only, they’re also waiving admin and NLT activation fees (otherwise $54.50 and $61.04 respectively) and offering three months’ free SecureNet (VQ’s cloud-delivered network security) and FDNS (Freedom DNS (VQ’s service that allows you to access geo-restricted content), free modem rental, and free delivery. Again, you’d have to pay out any outstanding contract value if you decide to terminate this 24-month plan early.
The ViewQwest 10 Gbps eero Max 7 – 2 Nodes (WiFi 7) (24 months) is priced starting from $60/mth from ViewQwest.
StarHub UltraSpeed 10 Gbps with WiFi 7 router (24 months), $59.34/mth
Best fastest WiFi 7 upload speeds for gaming and 4K streaming in Singapore
The one category MyRepublic didn’t secure in that Opensignal report was taken by—yes you guessed it—StarHub. That was the award for ‘Upload Speed’, which StarHub outright won with average upload speeds more than 5 Mbps (nearly 7%) faster than speeds recorded by Singtel and MyRepublic—both of whom tied at second place.
Well, you serious gamers don’t need me to tell you, even though upload speeds are less critical than download speeds for online gaming (mostly), they still matter—especially in multiplayer and competition scenarios. Fast upload speeds will ensure your actions and inputs are transmitted as quickly as possible to the game server, minimising lag and improving responsiveness.
Well, as runner-up in the ‘Download Speed’ category, you can still trust that StarHub has your back for downloads. This plan comes with a free Optical Network Terminal and TP-Link EB810V WiFi 7 router (also called BE22000) which boasts 19 Gbps tri-band speeds and is mesh-ready.
This is a two-year contract so early termination charges will apply if you cancel early, typically computed based on your remaining contractual months.
The StarHub UltraSpeed 10 Gbps with WiFi 7 router (24 months) is priced at $59.34/mth from StarHub.
WhizComms 10 Gbps WiFi 7 Router Plan (24 months), $29.99/mth
Best ultra-budget entry point into WiFi 7 broadband in Singapore
WhizComms surprised me by offering a 10 Gbps WiFi 7 plan for just S$29.99/month, including a WiFi 7 wireless router and free installation to boot. They even loan you the ONR (Optical Network Router) device for your 24-month contract duration—for truly unbeatable value.
The bundled router is an Archer BE400 WiFi 7 wireless router, a modest entry level TP-Link model in the world of WiFi 7, so don’t expect too much from it. It offers speeds up to 6.5 Gbps, and is dual-band, meaning you only have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidths (no 6 GHz). Its wired speed on LAN/WAN ports also only go up to 2.5 Gbps. That said, the Archer BE400 is generally well-reviewed and praised for its excellent 5 GHz performance, even on WiFi 6 devices.
If this router doesn’t appeal to you, consider the “No-Frills” version of this 10 Gbps plan at $28.99/mth that throws in one free month’s subscription—no router included.
ISP-wise, WhizComms uses next-generation XGSPON standards and rides on Singtel’s infrastructure for providing its broadband network services. Reddit feedback warns of slower peak speeds, but if you want future-proofing on a shoestring, this is a bold choice. Early termination charges apply, typically equivalent to the remaining monthly fees for any outstanding contract duration.
The WhizComms 10 Gbps WiFi 7 Router Plan (24 months) is priced starting from $29.99/mth from WhizComms.
Singtel 10 Gbps (WiFi 7) + Entertainment Bundle (Singtel TV) (24 months), $64.81/mth
Best entertainment WiFi 7 broadband bundle for families in Singapore
Singtel’s 10 Gbps entertainment-bundled fibre plan feels like a classic for a reason. It’s a little pricier at S$64.81/month on a 24-month contract, but what you get is consistency and reliability from Singapore’s first OG telco.
This bundle is exclusively for new TV and Broadband sign-ups only, so look elsewhere if you’re already with Singtel. Otherwise, this package comes with a TP-Link BE22000 WiFi 7 router (also known as the Deco BE85) which is mesh-ready. It’s tri-band and supports up to 150 devices, has multiple high-speed ports (including a USB connector) and is a solid choice for large households with multiple devices.
Also included in the bundle is a Singtel TV Local Language Pack (mother tongue languages), five Singtel TV English Packs, a free home line, 500 MB free mobile broadband, 15,000 yuu points (equivalent to $75), 12 months of Disney+ Premium, 12 months of Amazon Prime, 12 months of Broadband Protect (network-level security), three months of HBP Max Standard, three months of Microsoft 365 Personal, one month of Parental Control Pass (parental control software) and Singtel Home Protect Flexi (Singtel’s home insurance). You can add the HBO Pak by upgrading your plan to $82.08/mth.
Sign-ups before 11 August also receive a free $100 shopping voucher, along with your “2 FREE years of 10 Gbps broadband”. To be honest, this feels gimmicky, but it’s not bad value if this kind of all-in-one entertainment deal floats your boat. Registration ($54.50/mth), NLT service activation ($61.04), and installation ($147.71) fees are all waived under this promotion. The only catch is the early termination penalty—calculated based on the remaining contract value, so break it early and you’ll feel it.
The Singtel 10 Gbps (WiFi 7) + Entertainment Bundle (Singtel TV) (24 months) is priced starting from $64.81/mth from Singtel.
SIMBA 10 Gbps (WiFi 7) (12 months), $29.99/mth
Best affordable multi-gig speed with minimal commitment in Singapore
SIMBA’s 10 Gbps plan at S$29.99/month includes a free home phone line and free ONU (Optical Network Unit)—with only a 12-month contract. This is great for those who prefer to bring your own router and not get locked down for too long with one ISP.
Formerly known as TPG, SIMBA’s broadband reviews are mixed (what’s new), with users reporting negative customer service experiences and complaining about connection issues. Other users report positive experiences though, praising it for affordability and speed.
Ideal for fans of fast networks without long-term lock-ins, but if you don’t mind a 24-month contract, SIMBA also offers a very similar 10 Gbps Broadband plan at $29.99/mth with a free D-Link WiFi 7 router, ONU, and home phone line—except you’ll be bound for two years.
As with most—if not all—other ISPs, to terminate a Simba broadband contract early, you’ll likely need to pay an early termination fee calculated based on the remaining months in your contract. So, choose well.
The SIMBA, 10 Gbps (WiFi 7) (12 months) is priced starting from $29.99/mth from SIMBA.
Who is the most reliable Wi-Fi provider?
Based on recent statistical reports from sources like Opensignal and Speedtest, there is no single “most reliable” Wi-Fi provider in Singapore across all metrics. Reliability can be measured in different ways, and different providers excel in specific areas.
Here’s a breakdown of the key findings from a May 2024 Opensignal report on fixed broadband experience:
- Consistent Quality: StarHub, MyRepublic, and ViewQwest were all recognized for consistent quality. StarHub was an outright winner for “Consistent Quality,” while MyRepublic and ViewQwest shared the award with statistically tied scores.
- Download Speed: MyRepublic was the clear winner for both average and peak download speeds.
- Upload Speed: StarHub was the outright winner for upload speed.
- Video Experience: MyRepublic and ViewQwest had the best video streaming experience.
Another report from Ookla (Speedtest Intelligence, H2 2024) highlighted these points:
- Fastest Fixed ISP: MyRepublic was the fastest ISP with the highest median download and upload speeds.
- Best Fixed Network (Overall): MyRepublic was ranked as having the best overall fixed network.
- Gaming Experience: MyRepublic provided the best gaming experience.
In summary, while MyRepublic frequently ranks at the top for raw speed and gaming, other providers like StarHub and ViewQwest are also highly regarded for their consistent quality and reliability. Ultimately, the “most reliable” provider depends on your specific needs, such as whether you prioritize fast download speeds, consistent quality for streaming, or low latency for gaming.
Which provider has the fastest internet in Singapore?
Based on recent data and reports, MyRepublic is generally considered the fastest internet provider in Singapore.
Several sources support this conclusion:
- Ookla (Speedtest Intelligence): Reports from Ookla have consistently ranked MyRepublic as the fastest fixed ISP in Singapore, with the highest median download and upload speeds. They also recognized MyRepublic as having the best overall fixed network.
- Opensignal: While Opensignal’s May 2024 report shows a more balanced landscape with other providers excelling in different areas, MyRepublic was the clear winner for both average and peak download speeds.
- Industry Recognition and Customer Reviews: MyRepublic’s reputation as a “gamer-centric” and performance-focused provider is often cited in customer reviews and industry articles. Their plans, particularly the 10Gbps and GAMER plans, are designed for high-speed, low-latency applications.
It is important to note that while MyRepublic holds the top spot for speed, other providers like Singtel, StarHub, and ViewQwest also offer high-speed plans, including 10Gbps symmetrical fiber connections. The actual speed you experience can be affected by factors such as:
- Your Plan: A 10Gbps plan from any provider will be faster than a 1Gbps plan from the same provider.
- Your Equipment: A high-speed plan requires a capable router and a network adapter on your device (e.g., a 10Gbps Ethernet port) to achieve the advertised speeds.
- Your Location: The physical infrastructure and network congestion in your specific area can influence performance.
- External Factors: The location of the server you are connecting to, web traffic, and other variables can all affect your experience.
