Keeping your home clean is important but don’t forget to make sure your home is well ventilated.

Cross-ventilation has benefits such as:
1. It pushes warm air and dust out of your houses by replacing it with fresh air from outdoors.
2. It reduces the need for air-conditioning, which cuts energy bills.
To cross-ventilate naturally: Simply open the windows.
Ideally, open a couple of windows or a door, that are directly opposite each other. When there isn't a cool breeze, an electric fan, air cooler or ventilation fan can help get the air moving in the right direction.
Here’s a tip: If the air conditioner isn’t in use for a long time, turn it off at the main switch for safety and this will prevent a sudden surge of electricity should the circuit break fail.
