Whether it’s between H&M and Balmain or Louis Vuitton and Supreme, designer collaborations are trending right now so it’s no surprise that everyone’s go-to homeware shopping brand Ikea recently teamed up with popular Danish furniture label Hay to develop a capsule collection.
Initial press shots of the designs reflect a collection that’s sensual, captivating and vibrant in colour and form.
Hay often works with noted designers from around the world to conceptualise its collections, ranging from Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to Lex Pott and Silo Studio. However, this will be the first time that the cult brand is working with Ikea.
Likewise, this will also be the first time that Ikea is partnering with another well-known furniture brand.
Prices on pieces from the collection have yet to be released but we are all praying that they will, in true Ikea spirit, be affordably priced and easy to assemble.
