Integrating a planter into the drawer at the gallery’s centre adds a biophilic touch.
These days, we can buy just about anything online. However, some items like blinds and curtains, should be seen in person, especially when they are meant for large-scale or tricky spaces.
mc.2 has partnered with Japanese heritage brand TOSO, which has been manufacturing blinds and curtains for over 70 years, to create a gallery showcasing the full potential of blinds and curtains.
TOSO’s most comprehensive range is displayed in this 2,000 sq ft gallery. Designed by Glynis Ng, founder of Zync Studio, and styled by Sangetsu, Japan’s largest fabric and wallpaper house, it displays 20 blinds and curtain tracks in full-scale room settings with curvy furniture.
The space is centred around an oversized bench with planters and drawers holding samples of materials. Room settings in various styles surround it.
Products include several mc.2 exclusives such as its Supertrac Skylight motorised blinds designed for skylight windows and the Wood Blinds made of sustainable wood. Its Ciero Ceiling Rails range, comprising Ciero Cloud that attaches directly to the ceiling for a flat look and Ciero Line that can be concealed in a grove for a seamless look, is also available.
Customers will also be impressed with the TOSO Roman Shades, where a blind system controls two different fabrics with only one chain. It allows for layering that dictates the intensity of natural light in your space, and enables you to change the mood simply by changing the fabrics. The maximum width of these shades is 4 m – one of the largest lengths for indoor blinds.
You can also find a wide selection of fabric and wallpaper by Sangetsu, all fabricated in Japan for quality assurance.
