Can augmented reality apps really help design your dream home? We find out

If you're in the midst of decorating your home or planning to, heading out to shop for furniture amid the current Covid-19 chaos is pretty much out of the picture.

There are, of course, various online shops to check out (here and here), but here's what you can also do: Virtually decorate your abode to see how it can potentially look like.

We try out two augmented reality (AR) apps, the Ikea Place app, where you get to style the Swedish retailer's pieces within your space, and the Dulux Visualizer app, which allows you to envision your walls in a new coat of paint in real time.
