No stranger to the local design scene, Air Furniture is back with two new showrooms at Tan Boon Liat Building following a three-year hiatus.
The brand closed its former Sophia Road showroom in 2017 to focus on creating new designs and expanding into the international market. This time around, homeowners will be glad to know that its second incarnation is even bigger and better than before.
Located on the second and fifth levels of Tan Boon Liat Building, the new showrooms have the same brightly-lit, minimalist-chic appeal as before. Set against brick and clay walls, the sleek lines and natural beauty of the furniture shine through. You’ll be able to check out the pieces in various settings as the floor, spanning more than 6,000 sq ft, is sectioned into intimate spaces that make one feel right at home.
Customers can expect to find classics that have been popular since the brand’s inception in 1999, including Red Dot Award winners like the Liner sofa and Crater TV console. There are also new designs such the Aviator collection that’s inspired by the wings of an aviator’s plane. Some items even sport unique names such as the HDB Shelf that’s a nod to local culture and the brand’s roots as a design house founded by a group of local furniture and interior designers.
Discerning homeowners will also be glad to know that all the furniture is designed with both durability and style in mind. All wooden pieces come in solid teak, white oak or black walnut. There is also a wide range of colours for leather sofas. Most items are of limited stock. Otherwise, you can expect a lead time of up to three months.
“We hope to raise awareness among the public that Singapore has great furniture designs that are appreciated and recognised by the world,” says the sales manager of Air Furniture.
