I don’t know about you, but every time the Singapore government rolls out those NEA Climate Vouchers, I get a little excited. It feels like free shopping money—except even better, because it’s pushing me to upgrade to energy-efficient appliances that will actually lower my electrical bills in the long run.

The funny thing is, some people don’t quite know how to access or exercise this “free shopping money.” I’ve had friends tell me they weren’t sure how to claim Climate Voucher disbursements, or even where to use Climate Vouchers online or in-store. After figuring out how to use mine, I’ve put together some simple steps and shopping strategies—which I’ll share here, along with a shortlist of what I think is worth buying.

If you’re a Singaporean household, simply head online to RedeemSG, log in with Singpass and follow the prompts to claim your vouchers—the same way you’d claim your CDC Vouchers. Once you’ve successfully completed the claim process, you will receive an SMS from gov.sg with a unique link to your Climate Vouchers. Simply click on the link to view your vouchers and redeem them.

As with the CDC Vouchers, this link can be shared with your household members or family—so essentially anyone with the link can use the vouchers. All you need to do is select the amount you wish to spend, click on show voucher, and show your QR code to the cashier.

*Note: you might be asked to present proof of address along with the voucher.

Where to use Climate Voucher

Where to use climate voucher?

The big question I often get asked is: “climate voucher, where to use?” Good news—as of September 2025, you can spend your Climate Vouchers virtually anywhere in Singapore:

  • Major electronic stores like Courts, Best Denki, Gin City, Harvey Norman, Audio House, etc.
  • Major supermarkets like Cold Storage, FairPrice, Giant, Sheng Shiong, etc.
  • Big brands like Samsung, Dyson, Bosch, PowerPac, EuropAce, Fisher & Paykel, Prism+, etc.
  • Other stores you might recognise like Mega Discount Store, Mustafa Singapore, Japan Home, DIY Home, Tangs, etc.
  • All participating retailers including the small electrical, lighting, and hardware stores in your neighbourhood. You can search the entire list of participating retailers by name, address, or postal code here.
  • Online stores like Shopee and Lazada (including participating retailer stores like Gain City, Prism+, Powerpac, etc.)

A few of these big retailers with online stores allow the use of Climate Vouchers for online purchases, but in most cases, redemption must still be done physically in-store—so check with the retailer first. For me, shopping online is the most fuss-free option, especially when I’m comparing energy labels and appliance prices.

Where to use climate voucher online?

These online retailers accept Climate Vouchers directly:

How to redeem Climate Voucher at Samsung Online Store

Samsung Online Store

You can use your Climate Vouchers to purchase eligible energy-efficient appliances such as 3-tick and above refrigerators, 5-tick air conditioners, and 4-tick washing machines. For the most seamless experience, shop on Samsung’s dedicated Climate Voucher page. The process of redemption is also very streamlined—simply add your eligible item to cart, key in CLIMATE100 (for $100 off), CLIMATE200 (for $200 off), CLIMATE300 (for $300 off), or CLIMATE400 (for $400 off) when checking out. Your climate voucher QR code will then be scanned at the point of delivery.

How to redeem Climate Voucher at Gain City Online Store

Gain City

Gain City similarly has simplified the process so that you can easily redeem your Climate Vouchers on their online store. Simply shop on their dedicated “Climate Voucher Eligible Appliances” page. When checking out, you will see a nifty “Climate Vouchers” box that lets you key in how much Climate Vouchers you wish to redeem. Their delivery staff will then scan your Climate Voucher QR code when delivering your order.

How to redeem Climate Voucher at Lion City Company Online Store

Lion City Company

Lion City Company has a process similar to Samsung’s, such that you can apply your Climate Voucher as a voucher code in order to offset your purchase amount on eligible appliances at their online store.

Begin by shopping their curated “Climate Friendly” collection. When checking out, key into the “Discount code” box the appropriate code matching the amount of Climate Vouchers you wish to redeem, i.e. CV50 (for $50 off), CV100 (for $100 off), CV150 (for $150 off), CV200 (for $200 off), CV250 (for $250 off), CV300 (for $300 off), CV350 (for $350 off), CV400 (for $400 off). Lion City Company staff will then scan your Climate Voucher QR code when delivering your order.

Shopee & Lazada

It is currently not possible to use the Climate Friendly Households Programme vouchers directly on Shopee’s or Lazada’s online checkout systems. The Climate Vouchers are technically designed for in-person redemption, where the seller scans a unique QR code from your mobile device.

However, some participating retailers who also sell on Shopee and Lazada have created a workaround process to let customers use the Climate Vouchers for their purchases. This basically means placing your order online but redeeming the voucher when the product is delivered. The process for both Shopee and Lazada is similar.

How to use Climate Voucher on Shopee & Lazada?

Step 1

Search for participating sellers. Use keywords like “climate voucher” in the search bar, e.g. “climate voucher fridge”, or “climate voucher heat pump water heater”. Sellers who accept NEA Climate Vouchers often state this clearly in their product title or description.

Step 2

Confirm the redemption process. Before ordering, contact the seller using the chat function to confirm that they support voucher redemption upon delivery. They will at the same time explain their specific procedure.

Step 3

Place and pay for your order. Some sellers require you to place a small deposit or pay a nominal amount (e.g. $0.10) to secure your purchase on the Shopee or Lazada platform.

Step 4

Redeem the voucher upon delivery. The courier or installer will be equipped to process your voucher. When they arrive, you will need to present your unique QR code and show proof of residential address.

Step 5

Pay any remaining balance. If your purchase exceeds the voucher amount, you will need to pay the remainder directly to the seller, usually through PayNow.

Pro tip: I think Lazada tends to have better appliance bundles, while Shopee often has good flash sales—so it’s worth checking both before deciding.

What to buy with climate voucher

What to buy with climate voucher?

You can buy the following appliances with a climate voucher, provided they have the required efficiency tick ratings:

  • Air-conditioners: 5-tick rated models.
  • Refrigerators: 3-tick and above.
  • Washing machines: 4-tick models.
  • Direct current (DC) fans: These are specifically approved for the program and can save up to 70% more energy than standard AC fans.
  • LED lights: 2-tick and above.
  • Heat pump water heaters.
  • Water closets (toilet bowls): 3-tick models.
  • Shower fittings: 3-tick models.
  • Basin taps and mixers: 3-tick models.
  • Sink/bib taps and mixers: 3-tick models.

If you’re wondering where to use your climate vouchers, I’d say go for the online stores I’ve mentioned first—since their processes are seamless and you can apply your vouchers directly at checkout. I’d also look on Shopee and Lazada, because I usually compare prices there—I think the workaround is fine as long as the seller’s process is clear-cut and fuss-free.

I’m currently contemplating using my Climate Vouchers to either upgrade our 3-tick Panasonic fridge or 4-tick Electrolux front load washer—but I’ll probably upgrade the fridge since the Climate Voucher can only be applied on a new washer with the same energy efficiency rating. I may also just bide my time and wait for a more compelling reason to upgrade—after all, we have until December 31, 2027 to spend our Climate Vouchers!

In any case, here’s my shortlist of top picks you can spend your Climate Vouchers on:

Samsung, BMF Refrigerator SpaceMax™ 325 L RB34T6054B1/SS

Samsung, BMF Refrigerator SpaceMax™ 325 L RB34T6054B1/SS, $1,373

Best energy-saving 4-tick mid-sized refrigerator in Singapore for couples or small families

I think this Samsung fridge is a brilliant pick, especially for smaller families or couples who don’t need a huge side-by-side unit. What I really like about it is Samsung’s SpaceMax™ technology. Compared to other refrigerators with the same external dimensions, this one feels so much more spacious inside. It’s perfect for squeezing into a smaller kitchen without sacrificing precious storage space. the bottom freezer design also means you won’t be constantly bending over to reach for fresh food (which is the stuff we usually use most often).

Samsung’s 20-year warranty on its digital inverter compressor definitely gives me confidence in its longevity. I think for the long term, this is a genuinely viable option. I’ve also heard good things about the “Clean Back” feature, which protects the fridge’s vital coils and cables—making it easier to clean and likely increasing product lifespan by preventing dirt buildup.

The “All-Around Cooling” feature also ensures consistent temperature everywhere, and will keep your groceries fresh for longer. The best thing though, is its 4-tick energy efficiency rating which means you can take $400 off this price tag with your Climate Vouchers—cool!

The Samsung BMF Refrigerator SpaceMax™ 325L RB34T6054B1/SS is priced at $1,373 from Samsung.

LG Side by Side Fridge GS-L6104EV

LG Side by Side Fridge GS-L6104EV, $2,999

Best 4-tick smart storage refrigerator in Singapore for large families

I think this LG Side by Side GS-L6104EV is one of those statement fridges you buy once and keep for a decade. At 623 L, it’s perfect for big families who need a ton of space. Compared to the smaller bottom-mount models like the Samsung 325 L, this one definitely feels like a huge step up—and it also means no more playing Tetris with my groceries.

The side-by-side design makes it really easy to organise food—I especially like how the freezer section is just as accessible as the fridge, so you don’t have to dig around awkward drawers. The elegant black stainless-steel finish also looks super sleek, a huge pro if you’ve invested in a modern kitchen design.

Compared to other side-by-sides I’ve looked at, this one has some great features. The Door Cooling+ and Linear Cooling ensure that temperature is consistent throughout the fridge so your food stays fresh longer, and the drinks on the door shelf are actually cool! The built-in, non-plumbed ice and water dispenser is also a fantastic convenience, especially on a hot day. Plus, with ThinQ Wi-Fi, you can monitor and control it remotely.

On electricity efficiency, LG is strong with their Smart Inverter Compressor, which means it’s not only more energy efficient but also quieter than older models. LG also backs the compressor with a 10-year warranty, which gives me great peace of mind. I think this is definitely a viable long-term buy—it strikes a good balance between premium features and energy efficiency, making it a smart upgrade for bigger households.

The LG Side by Side Fridge GS-L6104EV is priced at $2,999 from Gain City.

PRISM+ PureFresh 90L Mini Bar Refrigerator MB 90

PRISM+ PureFresh 90L Mini Bar Refrigerator MB 90, From $259

Best 3-tick mini bar fridge for small spaces, home offices, or bedrooms in Singapore

Maybe you’re not after a full sized fridge, but always wanted to have a mini bar in your bedroom or home office (just so you don’t have to keep visiting the kitchen anymore). I think this PRISM+ mini bar fridge is a handy solution for a dorm room, a home office, or even as a second fridge for drinks and snacks.

The 90L capacity is surprisingly decent for a compact unit, and I especially like the separate chiller compartment that can go down to -3°C. It’s perfect for keeping ice cream or frozen items in a mini freezer, which you don’t always find in mini-fridges. The reversible door is also a brilliant feature. It means you can place it anywhere you want and not worry about the door getting in the way—which gives great flexibility for any layout. Plus, it boasts quiet operation at 40 dB, so it won’t be too disruptive in a bedroom or quiet study.

From a long-term perspective, I think the 3-tick energy rating is a pretty good choice for such a small appliance. It means this is not going to be a huge energy drain, which is important if you’re running it 24/7. Just like their larger fridges, it comes with a 12-year warranty on the compressor, and you can even add up to 8-years extended warranty if you like—which is practically unheard of for a mini bar fridge. The adjustable thermostat and removable glass shelves are practical features that make it very user-friendly. For this price, especially since you’re getting it “free” by using your Climate Voucher, it’s an incredible deal. It feels like a well-thought-out, practical, and long-lasting little fridge.

The Inox (silver) coloured model costs $259 in Climate Vouchers on top of the $0.10 Lazada buy price, while the black model costs $269. Your Climate Voucher QR code will be scanned at the time of delivery, and you will also need ID for verification.

The PRISM+ PureFresh 90L Mini Bar Refrigerator MB 90 is priced from $259 on Lazada.

Best 5-tick System 4 air conditioner for multi-room cooling in Singapore

Daikin iSmile Eco+ Series System 4 Aircon – WiFi, $4,749

Best 5-tick System 4 air conditioner for multi-room cooling in Singapore

As a big Daikin fan, I must say: look no further if you’re shopping for a System 4 air conditioner, because this looks like an absolute beast from their latest iSmileEco+ series. Since the aircon is one of the biggest energy guzzlers in the house, I think upgrading to a 5-tick energy saving aircon system is a clever way to maximise your Climate Vouchers on a long-term investment.

Compared to other multi-split systems, Daikins are famously quiet, and with a rating as low as 19 dB, you should be getting a good night’s sleep without hearing that constant hum. I also love that the WiFi module is built-in, so you can easily control it from your phone.

What really hooks me though is the Streamer Technology, which is supposed to decompose bacteria, mould, and viruses—translating into cleaner air and less mould buildup inside the unit. That should really help reduce the need for constant chemical washes. The R32 refrigerant is also more environmentally friendly and energy efficient, as is the Intelligent Eye sensor which automatically saves energy when no one’s in the room—all of which add up to lower electrical bills in the long run!

The Daikin iSmile Eco+ Series System 4 Aircon (9K x2 + 12K + 18K BTU) is priced at $4,749 from Gain CIty.

Best 5-tick air conditioner for cooling large HDB flats and condos in Singapore

Mitsubishi Electric Starmex R32 System 5 Aircon, $7,059

Best 5-tick air conditioner for cooling large HDB flats and condos in Singapore

I think this Mitsubishi System 5 aircon is another serious contender for the Climate Voucher, especially if you have a larger HDB or condo with five rooms to cool. Compared to the Daikin System 4, this Mitsubishi gives you that extra flexibility of covering an additional room, and I think it feels like a more “future-proof” investment if your family grows or you host guests often. Just like Daikin, Mitsubishi’s Starmex series has an excellent reputation for efficiency and quietness.

The 5-tick rating is a non-negotiable, obviously, but what sets Mitsubishi apart for me is the Dual Barrier Coating, which is the “world’s first” patented coating that prevents dust and grime from sticking in the indoor unit. This is a huge selling point, since it should mean cleaner air and less maintenance over the years, which means better health and less aircon servicing.

In terms of electricity efficiency, Mitsubishi Electric is well-known for durable and energy-conscious compressors. The inverter technology ensures you’re not wasting power, as it adjusts cooling output automatically depending on the load. Combined with the R32 refrigerant, you’ll be saving on electricity bills for years to come.

The Starmex is just as quiet as the Daikin at 19 dB—quieter than a whisper, so you practically won’t even hear it. The PM 2.5 filter here is another great feature, especially with the occasional haze we might get. Compared to the Daikin, the choice really boils down to which you value more: Daikin’s WiFi integration or Mitsubishi’s superior air quality and easy-clean features. Both are top-notch options for maximising your Climate Voucher.

The Mitsubishi Electric Starmex R32 System 5 Aircon (9K + 12K x 3 + 20K BTU) is priced at $7,059 from Gain CIty.

Best premium air purifier fan for health-conscious and allergy-sensitive households in Singapore

Dyson Formaldehyde Air Purifier Fan TP09, $799

Best premium air purifier fan for health-conscious and allergy-sensitive households in Singapore

Imagine getting a huge subsidy for a Dyson fan, and one that purifies your indoor air to boot. I think the Dyson TP09 is one of those splurge-worthy appliances that actually justifies its price tag if you care about your air quality at home.

What I like most is that it doesn’t just filter dust and pollen—it has a dedicated sensor that specifically detects and destroys formaldehyde, an invisible but vicious pollutant that could be emitting from your furniture, paint, or cleaning products. It’s perfect for a newly renovated flat where all the new furniture and paint can emit this gas for years.

What’s amazing is that it has a special catalytic filter that continuously breaks down the formaldehyde into water and CO2, and this filter never needs replacing. Compared to the basic air purifiers on the market, which only filter particles, this is a serious step up in terms of indoor air quality. Plus, it’s a dual-function unit, so it will also serve its purpose as a fan with a purified airflow.

While the HEPA and carbon filters still need to be changed annually (based on 12 hours of daily use), the Dyson Link app will conveniently remind you when it’s time, so you don’t have to keep track. Plus, you can’t deny this sleek nickel/gold design will look amazing in any living room. It’s definitely pricier than brands like PowerPac or PRISM+, but for me, its formaldehyde-busting capability and iconic design make it worth considering.

The Dyson Formaldehyde Air Purifier Fan TP09 is priced at $799 from Gain CIty.

Best value bladeless tower fan in Singapore with LED light

iFan DC Bladeless Tower Fan IF7477, $190

Best value bladeless tower fan in Singapore with LED light

The iFan DC Bladeless Tower Fan IF7477 is easily one of the best budget alternatives to Dyson. At $190, it’s a fraction of the price, yet it gives you that same sleek, bladeless design that feels modern and safe—no spinning blades, which is perfect if you’ve got children or pets at home. I also like the slim tower profile; it doesn’t take up much space, and the airflow feels smooth and even compared to a regular standing fan.

Where this fan really shines is in its features: it also doubles as an LED light, comes with a remote control, has 12 wind speed settings, and a 15-hour timer. That’s a pretty impressive list for the price. The LED light makes it extra practical in bedrooms, doubling as a night light or soft ambient glow while keeping you cool.

While Dyson still has the edge with smart app controls and built-in air purification, the iFan holds its own as a solid, energy-efficient cooling option. Thanks to the DC motor, it’s quiet and electricity-friendly, making it a smart long-term buy. For me, this is the best value pick if you want the bladeless fan experience without splurging on a Dyson.

To buy the iFan, DC Bladeless Tower Fan IF7477 on Shopee, you’d check out and pay $0.10. The remaining $189.90 will be collected via your Climate Voucher upon delivery, and you will need to show your ID at the same time.

The iFan DC Bladeless Tower Fan IF7477 is priced at $190 from the PowerPac Official Store on Shopee.

Best smart DC ceiling fan with lights for tech-savvy homes in Singapore

PRISM+ Oasis PRO Smart Ceiling Fan, from $69

Best smart DC ceiling fan with lights for tech-savvy homes in Singapore

If you’re after a ceiling fan instead of a standing fan (so many pros on top of space efficiency, don’t get me started—but mould prevention is certainly one of them), I feel like this PRISM+ fan is an absolute steal. The fact that you can get it by topping up only $69 is pretty amazing (in addition to your $400 in Climate Vouchers).

What I like most is that it’s smart-enabled, so you can adjust the fan speed or dim the RGB lights from your phone or with voice control. Compared to a regular ceiling fan, this is a massive upgrade—six speeds also gives you good defence against the sweltering Singapore weather. Design-wise, the blades are crisp and modern, which means it will blend nicely in a minimalist HDB bedroom or living room.

As for long-term viability, I believe the energy savings from the DC motor are going to be significant over time. Quiet operation is another huge plus. The lifetime warranty on the motor and the five-year warranty on the parts also gives extra peace of mind for the long term. Overall, I think this fan is a great pick that packs all the latest smart features and energy efficiency without breaking the bank.

The PRISM+ Oasis PRO Smart Ceiling Fan is priced from $69 at the PRISM+ Official Store on Shopee.

Best 4-tick washer-dryer combo for large households in Singapore

Electrolux Washer/Dryer-13/9 KG EWW1343R7SC, $1,999

Best 4-tick washer-dryer combo for large households in Singapore

This one is a strong contender for my Climate Vouchers. It looks like a game-changer, especially if you have a large family or busy household and don’t want to deal with separate machines. The capacity is a huge selling point for me—13kg for washing and 9kg for drying means getting the laundry done much faster, and I can even wash my king-sized duvet!

Its SensorWash technology claims to remove up to 53 stains by detecting dirt and soil levels and adjusting wash cycles accordingly. This is a big step up from my current machine, which just runs a preset cycle every time. It means better cleaning without having to pre-treat stains. The Sanitise program (which removes 99.99% common bacteria & viruses) is another feature I’m keen on, especially with little kids and those preschool bugs going around—this offers peace of mind that your clothes are truly clean.

From a long-term perspective, this looks like a solid investment. The EcoInverter motor is not only energy-efficient but also much quieter, which is perfect for night laundry runs. A 4-tick water efficiency rating is fantastic, and it means saving on both electricity and water bills over the years. Other features like CareDrum, with its cushion-like drum pattern, are designed to be gentle on clothes and extend their lifespan. I also love that the duvet care cycle is only 60 minutes. As an Electrolux user, my experience with Electrolux washers and customer service also gives me the confidence to purchase another one.

The Electrolux Washer/Dryer-13/9 KG EWW1343R7SC is priced at $1,999 from Gain CIty.

Best value 4-tick front load washer for medium-sized families in Singapore

EuropAce 10 kg Front Load Washing Machine EFW9102Y, $941.51

Best value 4-tick front load washer for medium-sized families in Singapore

This EuropAce 10 kg washer is one of the best budget-friendly picks if you want a reliable machine without overspending. It’s big enough for a medium-sized family, so you won’t feel like you’re constantly doing laundry. The front-load design also tends to be gentler on clothes and uses less water compared to top-load models. Compared to the Electrolux washer dryer combo, this is a simpler choice (no drying function), but I think it’s perfect if you just want a solid washer at a good price point.

Function-wise, this isn’t too shabby with 15 preset programmes. I like Add Rinse and Add Wash, especially for throwing in pieces at the last minute. Quick 15’ is also super handy for small and quick loads. On electricity and water efficiency, 4-ticks means lower water and electrical bills, and the 5-year warranty on its BLDC Inverter Motor speaks for durability and efficiency. I think the balance here lies in practicality—it’s affordable, energy-efficient, and straightforward to use. Long-term, this should hold up well for everyday laundry without the bells and whistles, making it a smart option if you want to stretch your NEA Climate Voucher further.

The EuropAce 10 kg Front Load Washing Machine EFW9102Y is priced at $941.51 from Lion CIty Company.
