Luxury German brand Gaggenau has officially unveiled its most significant cavity (refers to inner chamber of oven) range (refers to stovetop) launch in nearly two decades. This line-up brings architectural precision and professional-grade performance straight into high-end Singaporean kitchens:

• Gaggenau Expressive series
• Gaggenau Minimalistic series
• A complementary Vario cooling Expressive series

Founded in 1683 by Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden in Germany’s Black Forest, Gaggenau started as an ironworks foundry. Over centuries, it transformed from forging nails and tools to specializing in enameling. That proprietary enamel recipe eventually became the foundation for its iconic, ultra-durable coal, gas, and modern electric ovens.

By evolving the iconic twin knobs into a single floating stainless steel ring and replacing traditional interfaces with proximity sensors, Gaggenau bridges its 343-year-old metal-forging heritage with modern smart-home expectations.

Gaggenau Expressive Series

When you approach the oven, proximity-activated sensors light up the concealed display, revealing an intuitive, interactive experience.

The Expressive Series embodies a bold, sculptural design philosophy rooted in “two frames, one circle, a piece of art,” using an inner stainless steel “passepartout” framed by dark smoked glass.

Gaggenau Minimalistic Series

In contrast, the Minimalistic Series distils this same engineering into pure visual reduction, using handleless fronts, two linear ventilation profiles, and two timeless shades - Onyx (smokey glass with subtle metallic flecks) and Sterling (high-contrast technical finishes).

Inside, both series pack incredible power: a high-performance full-surface grill concealed behind Gaggenau’s signature blue enamel interior, dedicated air-frying modes, pyrolytic self-cleaning (high-heat cleaning that burns away stubborn food residue, grease) engineered to withstand temperatures up to 485 degC, and a five-layer glass door.

Vario Cooling Expressive Series

The range expands into full kitchen integration with the Vario cooling Expressive series, featuring refrigerators, freezers, and wine climate cabinets designed to fit flush like fine furniture.

Highlights include an industry-first automatic tempering programme for wine climate cabinets. Using infrared sensors, these cabinets eliminate guesswork by bringing red, white, rosé, or sparkling wines to their exact serving temperatures based on bottle count and variety, notifying users through ambient cabinet lighting or the Home Connect app.

This launch is significant because it shifts kitchen design away from hyper-digital, flat touchscreens toward high-haptic luxury. Preserving physical interaction through a weighted, tactile ring brings emotional delight back into automated cooking.
