Castlery Launched a Brand New ‘Ayrie’ Mattress ($999 - $2,199)
Singapore has long carried the unfortunate title of being the world’s third most sleep-deprived city.

Singapore has long carried the unfortunate title of being the world’s third most sleep-deprived city. Between tropical humidity, long working hours, and high-stress lifestyles, a good night’s rest can feel like a rare luxury. Homegrown furniture brand Castlery (founded in Singapore in 2013 and now a global B Corp certified label) is taking aim at this pervasive issue.
Introducing a broad move into the “business of sleep”, Castlery has unveiled its brand-new Ayrie mattress collection alongside an expanded range of bed frames, bedding, and sleep accessories designed to create a cohesive, soothing sanctuary.

Castlery Ayrie Mattress ($999 - $2,199)
At the core of this launch is the Ayrie mattress collection. Castlery is deliberately rejecting the bed-in-a-box trend that has dominated the direct-to-consumer market over the past decade.
Instead of vacuum-sealing and rolling their mattresses, Castlery delivers every Ayrie mattress uncompressed and in full form. This ensures structural integrity right out of the wrapper, eliminating compression stress on the internal materials and saving buyers from waiting up to 72 hours for a rolled mattress to fully expand before use.
Engineered specifically for warmer climates, the Ayrie range takes its name from the concept of open, breathable spaces. Each model features a cooling top system built with a cool-touch TENCEL Lyocell cover, medium-density foam, and gel-infused memory foam.
Underneath sits a supportive core of responsive foam, individually wrapped reinforced pocket springs to isolate motion transfer, and a durable foundation foam base.

Sleepers can choose from three distinct firmness levels: the entry-level Ayrie (from S$999) featuring a 6-layer hybrid firm feel; the Ayrie Comfort (from S$1,799) with a 7-layer medium-firm build; and the plush Ayrie Plush (from S$2,199) offering a 7-layer medium feel.

All materials are CertiPUR-US certified free of fibreglass, the covers are OEKO-TEX certified, and every mattress comes backed by a 10-year warranty.
When analysed against similarly priced mid-to-high-tier hybrid mattresses in Singapore - such as offerings from Origin, Emma, King Koil, or Sealy - the Ayrie collection presents notable advantages and trade-offs.

Castlery Ayrie Mattress Advantages
- Delivered flat and ready for instant use without off-gassing or structural compression wear.
- The cooling combination of TENCEL Lyocell and gel-infused memory foam dissipates heat effectively in Singapore’s humid climate.
- Fibreglass-free CertiPUR-US foams and OEKO-TEX certified textiles offer essential peace of mind for sensitive sleepers.
- Lesser motion transfer throughout the night with reinforced pocket springs.
Castlery Ayrie Mattress Disadvantages
- Bulky, full-form mattress delivery means navigating tight Singaporean HDB lifts, narrow stairwells, or old walk-up apartments can be more challenging than bringing in a compact box.
- Starting at $999 and reaching $2,199, it commands a premium compared to budget-friendly boxed competitors that frequently run aggressive discounts.

‘Bad Sleeper’ Programme to trial mattress & get $2,000
To prove the efficacy of the new collection, Castlery has launched the Bad Sleeper Programme. Castlery is recruiting five “Bad Sleep Specialists” in Singapore to put the Ayrie mattress to the test over 20 consecutive nights in their own homes.
Selected testers keep their trial mattress and receive a $2,000 Castlery cash voucher in return for submitting honest reviews, photos, and short video logs. Applications are open from 8 September to 15 September 2026, with the 20-night trial running from 29 September to 18 October 2026.
Those interested in applying for the mattress tester campaign can sign up at the Castlery Bad Sleeper Programme before applications close on 15 September 2026.
