By Jyn Teo -
Collaboratively designed by IKEA, Swedish home furnishing company and Marimekko, a Finnish lifestyle design brand, the BASTUA collection features furniture and homeware pieces inspired by the Nordic culture.
The Swedish word "bastu" translates to mean sauna in English - a nod to the Nordic sauna culture. Marimekko fans will also be excited to know that this collection will carry an exclusive set of prints specifically designed by Marimekko as well.
Immerse yourself in the pleasures of the Nordic self-care rituals, as well as the simple beauty of nature in these furniture and home accessories from IKEA's limited edition BASTUA's collection.

IKEA BASTUA glass, $6.90
While creating the IKEA BASTUA glassware collection, IKEA designer Henrik Preutz had in mind a Scandinavian summer evening by a crystal-clear lake.

The bench/ beach towel, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen from Marimekko, mimics the scene on a lake’s surface.

IKEA BASTUA water bottle, $16.90
When water is tossed on a sauna stove, an abstract floral shape is created - the Finnish call it ‘löyly’.

The new limited BASTUA collection will be available from 2 March 2023 in all IKEA Singapore retail stores, and will launch on 3 March 2023 online.
