Yio Chu Kang, located in the northeastern part of Singapore, evolved from a rural area into a residential suburb while retaining its lush greenery. Historically, it was home to agricultural villages, including Chinese kampongs and plantations, along Yio Chu Kang Road. The area’s name reflects the influence of the Kangchu system, where “kang” refers to rivers and “chu” to plantation leaders.

By the late 20th century, urban redevelopment transformed Yio Chu Kang. Kampongs were cleared to make way for public housing and modern amenities, leading to the establishment of residential estates like Lentor and facilities such as Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, schools, and community centres. This accessibility, coupled with its mix of low-density housing and greenery, has made it a desirable residential area.

Here are some of the most beautiful homes in Yio Chu Kang.
